NOTHING BUT WATER. I like going into this shop because it reminds me of beach resorts. They carry swimsuits and other beach essentials all year round, and helped popularize Havaianas in the country. Once upon a time, they sold only locally-designed suits, and even custom-made swimwear. Soon, they started to mix imported labels into their collection. These days, you will find all their swimsuits are imported from the US. The prices may be a bit higher, but loyal clients are willing to pay a little extra for great design, bottoms that don’t ride up, and special details, like underwire and detachable pads. Branches: Galleria, Alabang Town Center, Power Plant, Glorietta, D’Mall Boracay.
1. Brown T maillot, P2,995.
Looks dangerously sexy, but actually offers more coverage than a two piece!
2. Green keyhole maillot, P2,690.
One-piece suits double as a top for cocktails on the beach. Simply slip on a sarong or beach pants.
3. Pink/black/white geometric print bikini, P2,375.
4. White with stripe/dot coordinates, P2,730.
5. Green/white striped strapless bikini, P2,730.
Bubblegum-cuteness from color to pattern.
6. White one-piece with side ribbon detail, P2,678.
White is hot now, even on the beach. It also shows off a glowing tan the best.
7. Black polka-dotted bikini, padded, P3,139.
The ruffles, frills, and extra padding are perfect for boyish bods impersonating a curvaceous chick.
8. Black/white hyacinth halter tank with boy shorts, P2,995.
If you must show up at the beach but have everything to hide.
9. Green halter bikini, underwired, P2,476.
This basic suit is flattering for most body types. The generously-cut halter and undewire lend support to heavy tops. Comes in different colors.
10. Triangle bikini in paisley print with beads, padded, P2,655.
11. Triangle bikini with boyshorts in large paisley print, padded, P3,445.
A little help at the top plus some coverage at the bottom equals wonders for pear-shaped women.
12. Pink/lime wavy stripe bikini, P2,830.

CHOCOLATE CLOTHING CO. I like how most of their swimsuits are sold separately, so you can pick the perfect top and bottom sizes. You also have the option of buying just the top to pair with an old bikini bottom, and vice versa. All suits are made in Australia. Branches: Galleria, Glorietta, Megamall, Shangri-la Plaza, Power Plant, Eastwood City 2, Rustans U (Makati, Alabang, Malate, Gateway), Chimes Davao.
