It’s that time of year again—we’re in the middle of sticky, sweaty summer weather, then all of sudden it pours. Just when foregin labels are bringing in their summer collection, we get damp, chilly weather. What to do with your summer outfits? Simply get the right layering pieces. This is not an excuse to bring out your fur. Think spring—lightweight farbics in happier colors. Here are the top trends to cure those stormy blues.
1. Trench coat. Your best bet for this season is a crisp, classic trench. I like this length, just below the butt, because it can go with any outfit—from shorts, bermudas, capris, pants, and skirts.
Knee-length coats are great, too, and look best when paired with pants.
This versatile outerwear looks great for day or night, on the young or not-so-young. Wear them cazh (casual) over jeans or shorts for shopping, gimmicks, or school. Dress them up with slacks and proper shoes for work.
Finish the look with chunky platforms, wedges, rope sandals, or ballet flats.
