I love using clutches for evening. They’re elegantly streamlined yet compact enough to carry the essentials. A fab new bag store called Matisse has some of the most unique and exquisite pieces around. My top pick is this satin bejeweled number because the bright color adds punch to any ensemble and the jewel detail gives it a vintage, I-got-it-from-my-lola feel.

Malugay Street is just off Buendia. If you’re coming from the direction of EDSA, it’s the street after Reposo (now known as N. Garcia) Street. Matisse is in the yellow building on the right side of the street. They are closed Mondays but open the rest of the week from 11am to 7pm
