You may have been familiar with Hotwind when they were still above Nail Spa on Gamboa street in Legaspi Village, but earlier this year they moved to the ground floor of Glorietta 4 in Makati. According to fashion designer Andy Cruz, who is one of the owners of the shop, “Hotwind is all about classic cuts and shapes made more modern by embellishments and leather treatments.” Look closely at the underside of a Hotwind shoe and you’ll see how the sole is double-lined and double-stitched from the in-sole to the mid-sole, so that even when you’re not wearing the shoe and it’s just sitting in your closet, it still looks fabulous!

First off let me say that Superman is my superhero. Kids today, their superheroes are Spider-man and Batman. But way before Spidey spun his first web and the Dark Knight donned his cowl, there was the Man of Steel. I was a bit too young to catch the first two original movies in theaters but I grew up on Superman (on Betamax—yep, I’m that old).

So although I loved Spider-man 1 and 2 (1 more than 2, because the sequel had some “Eh?” moments and dialogue) and thought that Batman Begins totally rocked, Superman Returns is the superhero movie I’ve been looking forward to the most. I’ve been humming the Superman theme in the office days before I went to see it. I was THAT excited about seeing it! (more…)

If you’re a single working girl like I am, there are a lot of things you should know how to do yourself. Such as changing a flat tire. One of the worst things that can happen to a lady driver is get caught with a flat in the middle of nowhere, or in the dead of night.
