If you’re a single working girl like I am, there are a lot of things you should know how to do yourself. Such as changing a flat tire. One of the worst things that can happen to a lady driver is get caught with a flat in the middle of nowhere, or in the dead of night. Even if there is a spare tire in the trunk (that is not also flat from neglect), it’s still not that simple to operate a jack and install it. One option for fixing a flat tire without losing your poise is to use the Flat Mate, an instant puncture-repair tool that re-inflates and seals damaged tires. It’s good enough to make your flat tire usable again, at least until you can get to the nearest gas station for help. Once there, you should let the pros do the rest of the fixing.
The Flat Mate is easy to use. If your tire has a small puncture, a 300 ml can is enough to re-inflate and seal it. But first you must remove the object that punctured the tire and deflate your tire completely. Clear the tire valve and screw the Flat Mate tube onto the valve. Don’t forget to shake the can vigorously before use. Remove the cap cover, hold the can upright, and press the button to release foam until your tire is firm. Immediately drive your car for approximately 10-14 km to allow Flat Mate to spread evenly in the tire and seal the puncture. It’s wise to check and adjust the tire pressure as required, and to drive at a reduced speed of 45 kph.
