Schu Lover

Ever since Schu first opened in December 2004, it has become many a shoe addict’s favorite.
Their shoes have all the qualities that appeal to the Pinay’s Imeldific tendencies: the styles are up-to-date yet comfortable, materials are of good quality, yet the price is just right! In fact, their shoes come cheaper than some of our local brands. How does Schu do it? According to Ruby Gan, managing partner of Schu, their shoes are all designed in Milan and Paris, but manufactured in China under the strictest quality control.
SCHU recently opened two new stores—one at the Mall of Asia, and the other at Glorietta 3. (The latter is actually just a move—literally next door—to a bigger space.) Both stores marked their Grand Opening/Blessing almost simultaneously, as they unveiled their latest Spring/Summer 2006 Collection.
Here are Cherry’s Top 10 Picks:

i love schu! love their designs. plus, it’s a way cheaper than hotwind & ninewest.
July 20th, 2006 at 4:56 pm
is there a schu store here in cebu? i hope one day it will invade cebu….
July 20th, 2006 at 5:11 pm
problem with schu lang is, most of their shoes masakit sa paa
nice designs alright pero masakit talaga
July 20th, 2006 at 5:32 pm
is there any store here in la union?
July 20th, 2006 at 6:49 pm
i love the wedges…pwde ba maka bili online? wala kasi schu dito sa Zamboanga City..thanks
July 20th, 2006 at 6:54 pm
what’s their smallest size?
July 20th, 2006 at 10:51 pm
yes, their shoes are really pretty but very uncomfortable.. their flats hurt the back of my heels that’s why i buy scholl cushion pads (available in mercury drug powerplant)
July 20th, 2006 at 10:57 pm
i think metallics are still in.. i do believe it’s the new neutral now. there are plenty of designers like LV, chloe, YSL, etc..) that are releasing metallics..
July 20th, 2006 at 11:30 pm
i love schu but it would be better if they also have spare “takong” once they sell their shoes, kasi their designs are so innovative that its hard to find shoe repair shops that can replace it.
July 22nd, 2006 at 12:02 am
I would have to agree na masakit siya sa paa but I really really really love the designs….so cute and trendy!! I just hope they can focus more on the materials used para less yung sakit sa paa….
July 22nd, 2006 at 1:59 am
I love schu! I have so many pairs! Ganda kasi ng style, hindi common. Hindi ako nasasaktan sa kanila at all. I went to London and there, everyone walks. I walked around the city in black schu pumps every day and I was so comfy. Baka masakit kasi depende sa shape ng paa? Janilyn… yun ang masakit super.
July 22nd, 2006 at 10:42 am
designs were very sophisticated and have a lot of choices.i love it!
July 22nd, 2006 at 4:04 pm
I love the design, pero masakit sa paa.
July 23rd, 2006 at 11:20 pm
i also love schu!!! yeah, i have to agree, masakit nga sa paa. that’s why i have discolorations sa ankles because of the blisters i had after wearing it. good thing they sell foot petals at their stores.
July 25th, 2006 at 5:50 pm
i’ll have to agree with the majority that the designs are fab but unfortunately, they’re not exactly the most comfortable pair a girl can have. even the thong flats/sandals hurt in-between the toes.

Bought my 1st Schu pair last June, pale rose heels. I super love the look, but HATE the pain! =( I can’t last 3 hrs in them. They should IMPROVE the sole padding (maybe that’s why they’re affordable??). But the branch at Mall of Asia DID give me an extra pair of heels upon purchase.
On metallics and Foot Petals: I still think metallics rock, esp during the gloomy, gray rainy months! Who wants to wreck their fabric and canvas shoes when its pouring outside???
Got me a pair of 3-tone metallic heels (another brand tho), and bought Killer Kushionz @ Beauty Bar. The pads eased the pain at first, but after awhile, my feet started to ache pa rin! And they kinda made my shoes fit tighter (remember the “cork” from the 80s?) Sad cuz you HAVE to ensure you put them in right the 1st time, or else you’ll ruin the 3M adhesive and they won’t stick right anymore. I heard Dr.Scholl’s PARTY FEET’s MUCH better.
July 25th, 2006 at 8:33 pm
yeah, i love thier designs! but there was one style i bought w/c i thought was really nice but really hurt my feet and the strap keeps on getting loose so even if i wore it just once i vowed never to wear it again.hope they cld hve like a trade-in or something for slightly used shoes.
July 25th, 2006 at 10:40 pm
I use to buy these types of shoes but they wrecked my feet! Yes women sometimes have to forego comfort for the sake of fashion, but be FOREWARNED, shoes that hurt your feet means they are not made well and constant wearing of such shoes can also cause damage to your knees. Take it from me I had ACL (knee surgery) due to my need to wear high healed uncomfortable stylish shoes. There are other brands of shoes on the market that can offer style yet are comfortable & wont cause injury. Remember health is wealth! Unless years down the line you wana wear those orthopedic shoes instead of your heals. Be a wise consumer..
July 26th, 2006 at 2:04 am
Yeah, I agree with the others who say that it’s wiser to invest in more expensive shoes that are better designed. Badly designed shoes can damage arches, cause corns, bunions, ingrown nails, etc. It’s not worth it!
July 27th, 2006 at 1:38 pm
i’m glad to have read all these stuff coz im interested to buy shoes from SCHU! good thing! ive been scouting for shoes to buy since i started working here in ortigas. i use the lrt-mrt in going to work and back to our place and uncomfy shoes will definitely kill my feet. i recently bought florsheim black shoes and they’re great!! they’re comfy and so great for walking! more importantly, i bought them on sale at the festival branch!!!
July 27th, 2006 at 11:45 pm
We appreciate your comments and we will do our best to improve the quality of our shoes, paying particular attention to comfort.
July 28th, 2006 at 12:43 am
wow sumulat ang schu! Thanks for listening to our feedback and looking forward to improved products…
July 31st, 2006 at 12:06 pm
in addition to that, can you also make designs for wide feet? ganda ng selection but fitting pa lang masakit na sa paa…
August 2nd, 2006 at 8:49 am
waah,, of all the comments that i’ve
read they say that it’s uncomfy to use..
i’m going to get my first schu this friday. i ordered online.. it’s a wedge..
hope to feel comfortable..
August 3rd, 2006 at 1:54 am
hey guys!!
what is the website??
August 3rd, 2006 at 1:56 am
Yeah, the shoe designs and fit are great. I got a green pair of Harleys and love them!
The downside to their high-heeled shoes (I have 4), though, are the post-purchase expense I usually incur from installing the Killer Kushions and having the attached base of the heel (forgot what they’re called) replaced for lack of tread (read: plastic kasi so there’s danger of slipping….almost hurt myself a couple of times with my first 2 pairs).
Oh! I also had a bad episode with a pair of very chic (sallivated over them the whole season and wondered why they weren’t sold out) gold sequined flat mules I got. When I wore them, the sequins on the edge of the uppers were so abrasive (ouch!), my feet ended up all scratched and bloodied.
But my other pairs are good and continue to serve me well to this day(great eye candy, too!).
Yep, still like Schu.*:)

i cant send any comment about this shoes coz im living here in cebu…pwede ba magopen naman kayo nang bagong branch dito..please….
August 12th, 2006 at 2:23 pm
yeah it would be great if you can open a branch here in cebu! among others the only shops we have here are janylin, celine, nine west, cmg, and charles & keith. i think the owners of schu and hotwind might wanna consider getting a piece of the pie as well..
or are they open for franchising? im one of the interested parties!
August 16th, 2006 at 2:07 pm
schu is totally fabolous!!! the styles are really great but still the prices are just enough.. and i have to admit that i am a schu lover.. can i ever make suggestions for the designs? some girls truly want to have something that no one can ever imitate..
August 16th, 2006 at 2:38 pm
I agree that schu shoes r not too comfy to use for long hours! I bought a black pair months ago and I have only used it once! I couldn’t walk for a long period because my feet just really hurts! sayang, it’s very affordable pa naman and the designs r so nice!
August 17th, 2006 at 12:16 am
sana mag SALE ulit yung schu..yung BUY 1 TAKE 1 promo. hehe
August 17th, 2006 at 2:58 am
their styles are nice but they hurt! i love flats and they’re supposed to be great for walking around all day but with my schu flats, naglakad lang ako for like 5 mins and ang sakit sakit na sa paa! man, they’re not worth it…=o i ended up dragging myself to mercury to buy scholl which cost me a couple of hundreds pa… =O i’d rather buy much more expensive pairs.

Hello JM!
Yes, we also sell online. Please visit the blogs I maintain: http://schushop.multiply.com and http://schushop.blogspot.com
You can also read about the procedure for ordering online.
Right now, schu is doing a first in the Philippine retail scene, at least where shoe shops are concerned: we have launched last Sunday our schu for a Cause where 15% of the purchase price of selected shoe styles will go to RockEd Philippines! Plus, you get a free tote bag, especially designed by Team Manila for this worthy cause!
I encourage everyone to do their share and be involved! Now!
October 14th, 2006 at 1:02 pm
they’re comfy to me… yeah, maybe it depends on the shape of the feet.
it’s really much better than janylin, the latter has nice designs but you can hardly walk in them
December 4th, 2006 at 7:18 pm
oh gosh! i looove them!
February 18th, 2007 at 1:17 am

i ‘ve got several pairs of shcu pieces and i guess comfort depends on thye style that you get. Like the flats that i have were really very comfortable. I got my first pair when I was pregnant and ever since I was a schu fanatic. But there’s this one pair that I got after I gave birth that was uncomfortable.I think the name of the style was NEO. The heels were kinda heavy and okay lang sha isuot if you’ll sit all day lang kse pag matagal ka tumayo or maglakad, masakit na… But, u know, in fashion, like beauty, one must have a little sacrifice…
The staff were also very accomodating. I’ve tried going to Glorietta, Shang Mall and Robinson’s Branch and lahat sila friendly. If your size/style is not available in their branch, they would gladly call the branch nearest your place to reserve one for you.
Keep it up SCHU people!

i have several pairs of shoes that i bought from schu and so far, most are comfortable even if i had to walk a lot during the day. when i was on a business trip in singapore, i used to walk a lot everyday and the only pair of shoes that i used was my black schu flats. so far, i keep on buying shoes from them. just bought another pair 2 weeks ago. looking forward to new styles.
