Like a secret vacation spot or brilliant facialist, there are some things that are so great, you wish you can keep them to yourself forever so booking never becomes a problem. But alas, the ShopCrazy Creed demands that knowledge of all good things should be shared, so we must give due recognition to Mrs. Good’s Maid-On-Call Services.
Slothful condo dwellers like myself know that the number one downside to independent living is having to do chores. Why not hire a stay-in helper, you ask. Three reasons: a) too much responsibility, b) too little space, and c) too many trust issues. It’s so much easier not having to depend on anybody else, as long as you can manage. And with Mrs. Good’s, you definitely can!
Mrs. Good’s has a team of about twenty trained housekeepers that you can book over the phone. The rates for general house-cleaning are very reasonable at P550 for 50 sqm and below, and P650 for 51-109 sqm (with an additional P50 for every succeeding 10 sqm). The housekeepers bring all the cleaning materials and equipment in a tidy rolling suitcase, so there’s no need to prepare anything. They are so thorough, you won’t need to book them more than once every couple of weeks unless you are a complete slop. Or a pathological neat-nik.
After more than a year as a happy Mrs. Good’s customer, here are a few pointers I can offer:
1. When working with a new housekeeper, do a quick orientation before the actual cleaning begins. Demonstrate how windows, drapes, and other contraptions are operated. Point out fragile objects. Explain what areas you want special focus on. This will reduce the possibility of damage being accidentally inflicted on your property, and ensure that your expectations are met.
2. Put away your valuables to avoid any drama about lost items. Personally, I’ve never had any problems of this sort with Mrs. Good’s. I’m so comfortable with my favorite housekeeper that I take naps while the cleaning goes on. Quite a feat for someone with serious trust issues!
3. Respect your housekeeper as a professional. The services that your housekeeper will perform are clearly described in the service agreement, which you will be asked to sign before the cleaning begins. The fees for additional services are also listed. Please don’t pressure your housekeeper to perform services that are outside of what was agreed on. Give instructions respectfully and considerately, and don’t forget to say thank you.
Happy house-cleaning!

Mrs. Good’s can be reached at 426-9102 or 0916-946-5444. Rates for add-on services are as follows:
Clean inside of oven = P150 per oven
Clean washing machine = P50 per washing machine
Wax and buff floors = P150 for every 100 sqm (minimum 100 sqm)
Wax and buff marble floors = P250 for every 50 sqm (minimum 50 sqm)
Clean hard water stains from bath surfaces = P150
Heavy cleaning of bath tub = P100 per tub
Wash window blinds = P150 per window
Clean and arrange kitchen cabinet/closet interior = P100 per closet
Spray sofa/bed with anti-dust mite spray = P300
Aside from regular housecleaning, Mrs. Good’s housekeepers can be hired to assist when you’re moving into or out of your home, or having a party and need extra help. Office cleaning packages are also available.

Reading the extra services list, I came to wonder what are the services included for the basic charge of P550?

Hi Kikay. This is what my Mrs. Good’s housekeeper does for me for P550: vacuum entire apartment, clean bathroom, clean kitchen, wipe and dust tables and shelves, change bedsheets, and general tidying up.

Hi, I have a small balcony in my condo that’s pretty messy. It’s still within the 51-109sqm area, so I guess that counts as part of the P650? I’m very interested!

This is great service! However, does the P550 already cover their transportation to get to your house/apt? Or is that separate?
