Movie Review: DONSOL and INANG YAYA

I know a lot of us are pretty skeptical about local flicks, mainly because most movies look like they were written, shot, and edited in two days flat—while the director was having his/her nails done (“Cut! Okey na yan—yung pearl pink polish, ‘ne.”)
But I’ve developed a habit where I don’t knock it till I’ve tried/seen/chewed gingerly on it. So whenever there’s a local film, I give it a chance and watch it. If it really sucks, then I turn into Batista and froth at the mouth with rage. (more…)
