The All-In-One GC

When Christmas shopping is simply too much effort, the next best thing to do is give gift certificates. Quick, convenient, and tons better than another dust-catching desk accessory.

But which GC? A clothing GC? A bookstore GC? A gadget GC? A resto GC? Still too many choices, and still fraught with risk of giving something unwanted. If you’re a segurista who wants maximum satisfaction from your once-a-year generosity, try the Power Plant Mall Gift Cheque. It comes in P1,000 denominations and can be used in any store at the Power Plant Mall, even those on the Independent Lifestyles wing, the salons, the restaurants, the movie theater, and yes, even Power Bowl. No small mercy, this.

You can buy the all-in-one GC from the Customer Care Desk at Power Plant Mall.  It’s valid for use till February 14, 2007. Click here to see a complete list of Power Plant shops. Since it’s Christmas, there is, of course, a raffle involved—every GC is equal to one chance to win a Mercedes-Benz B-Class. Click on the jump to see it.

Peace Joe!

peace-joe-01.jpgWhat’s worse than not having anything to wear? Walking inside a bar or attending a very intimate party, and seeing someone else wearing the exact same outfit. Or wearing the same old blah uniform outfits day in and day out. Revamping your wardrobe and changing the way you look doesn’t have to be drastic. Sometimes, you just need to tweak a few things here and there.

Peace Joe is all about individuality, positive vibes, and the Manila streetlife. Fashion should be fun, and not a tiresome daily mental tirade of “I’ve got nothing to wear!”

Click on the jump and check out some of their one-of-a-kind and reworked clothing!

How to Get One of Oprah’s Favorite Things

In case you left your x-ray vision at the gym, these watches are not really stainless steel, they’re acrylic. And that caption reads, “My pal Andre discovered these unisex watches. They’re lightweight, water-resistant, and a terrific present for Father’s Day.”

Andre is Oprah’s hairstylist. We know this the way we know Sharon Cuneta was raised by Yaya Luring, and Nora Aunor once had a doll named Maria Leonora Theresa. (Details like this lodge themselves in our brains in a manner politicians can only dream of. I mean, can you even keep track of who’s pro- and anti-ChaCha in Congress? I can’t. But I know Andre does Oprah’s hair, while Reggie does her makeup. Sigh.)

ToyWatch was a top pick on Oprah’s Favorite Things list, and now those unable to fly to Chicago to look under their seats for freebies have a chance to get them, too. Click on the jump to find out how you can buy ToyWatch in Manila.
