Brazilian Invasion

Have you noticed that Brazilian models have been dominating our local magazines, ads, commercials, and even fashion shows? What is it about them that advertisers and editors choose them over local models? Plain and simple: They’re gorgeous.
Take for example Ariani. She currently appears in a shampoo commercial where she mouths the lines: “Nagpapa-hot oil ka pa rin? Girl, may bago na si Muther!”
Ariani is from Sao Paolo, Brazil, where, she admits nonchalantly, she dances around the streets in a thong during Mardi Gras. And she doesn’t mean slippers. We shot her for T3 Magazine’s annual bikini issue, and she is just HOT. These photos are raw, and taken from my camera. I can’t wait to see the photographer’s version. Even without makeup, she looks pretty, and her tender age shows (19 years old).

Even after posing in the pool, the soaking-wet Ariani still looked chic.

How can I contact Risque? Do they have a boutique or do I have to contact Cheryll Angeles directly?

i think olympus has waterproof /shockproof digital cameras (the mu series)
it’s actually also very handy because it’s so slim and small.

i like the shoes! Where can we get them?

brazilian models are gorgeous yes, but i take offense that they get FOREIGN models for a PHILIPPINE magazine. They should get FILIPINO models!

Hey foxy_chick, don’t take offense. It’s just business. I’m in the publishing industry and Pinays are real divas. Filipina models don’t like taking their clothes off unless it’s for a couture fashion spread. Gee whiz, nag-model pa sila. Whereas foreign models take off their clothes asap. Plus, they take direction really well. Really professional.
Pinay models keep complaining, “Ay, may taong nanonood… Ay, strict ang parents ko… Ay, pwede i-photo shop and cellulite… Ay, ang nipis/iksi/mahalay/sexy naman ng isusuot ko…” Grabe.
So until Pinay models start getting more professional (i.e. working out so there’s no cellulite to begin with) and stop complaining about the sexy poses they’ll have to do, Filipino magazines and brands have no choice but to employ foreigners.

hi ces beltarn.. i’m a pinay model and i take offense to the generalization and sweeping statements.. first of all, modeling is not about taking your clothes off at a drop of a hat.. secondly, i’ve been in the industry for some time now and i’ve worked with models of different nationalities and i’ve never seen more professional models than pinays.. you’d be hard-pressed to find divas and complainers among pinay models.. foreign models are great and professional as well.. but i think what foxy_chick is trying to say “tangkilikin ang sariling atin”. be proud of the professionals we produce..

well..there are lot of brazilians who are hot..but there’s something about the beauty of filipinas that’s unique..i didn’t like charo (the one who won first-runner up at the international ford model competition)at first but then after a while i realized she was so beautiful..i’m a girl by the way
