Going Bananas!

Just a little over a week ago, Cherry and I were invited to the media launch of Starbucks Coffee’s latest summer offering—the Banana Java Chip Frappuccino. Following the success of their Banana Mocha Frappuccino Blended Coffee and the Java Chip Frappuccino Blended Coffee, Starbucks has decided to combine these two beverages into one amazing and absolutely delish combo.
So what makes this frappe different from the hundred and one other summer-only beverages?
For one, it’s made of real bananas, which, according to research, have zero fat, cholesterol, and sodium. So it’s healthy, always a plus in our book. And it’s blended with yummy chocolate java chips, making it quite an indulgent treat.
Also, just like other Starbucks beverages, it’s perfectly customizable. So for those who are more weight-conscious, especially in this bikini-donning season, you can opt for a Frappuccino Light, or have your fix but with less cream. If, on the other hand, you’re not so much in the mood for a Frappuccino, then you can try the Iced Banana Mocha or the Iced Banana Latte.
This summer, Starbucks brings back three favorites that are perfect for their summer beverages, all with the delicious banana-and-chocolate combination: the Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin, the Banana Chocolate Chip Loaf, and the Banoffee Pie. Watch out also for two new products: the Banana Chocolate Puff and the Chicken Mango Chutney on Ciabatta Bread.
(Shown in picture: Banana Chocolate Puff, Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin, Banana Chocolate Chip Loaf)
The Banana Java Chip Frappuccino is available at all Starbucks branches at P145 for the tall cup, P155 for the grande, and P170 for the venti. The Iced Banana Mocha and Iced Banana Latte are at P125, P140, and P160 for the tall, grande, and venti. Try it with the Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin, P70, Banana Chocolate Chip Loaf, P50, the Banoffee Pie, P105, the Banana Chocolate Puff, P55, and the Chicken Mango Chutney on Ciabatta Bread, P120.

I hated the banofee at Goodies and Sweets - greenhills. It was so yuckky as compared to the delicious one at starbucks.
