It seems like almost every person you meet these days is into designing accessories, but not all can boast of an impressive product lineup. However these three up and coming talents have come out with pieces that will get you excited, and are worth your hard-earned peso.
Baubles, Bangles N’ Beads
Established in 2005, the duo of Joyce and Paoling make everything from necklaces and bracelets, to earrings and brooches. But their specialty is their so-called “Art-To-Wear,” best epitomized by their hand-painted bangles. The bangles are one-of-a-kind pieces that boast of colorful, artsy and intricate designs meticulously painted by their artists.
If you have a particular design in mind, BBB also does made-to-order bangles. Samples include whimsical motifs, such as a collage of Choc-nut wrappers, The Little Prince illustrations, even Audrey Hepburn as My Fair Lady!
The bangles come in a variety of sizes: small which is about 1-inch thick (P350); medium, about 1.25-1.5 inches (P430); and large, which is 2 inches wide (P600). Made-to-order bangles will depend on the intricacy of the design.
Check out their complete product lineup through their Multiply site at baublesbanglesnbeads.multiply.com. To order, text or call Paoling at 0918-253-2621 or Joyce at 0922-890-0650. You can also catch them at the following stores and bazaars:
F*Art (Fashion and Art Store) at 24 K-D K1st Kamuning, Quezon City.
April 27, 2007 1pm - 8pm and April 28 -29,2007 8am to 8pm at Bel-Air Pasinaya Bazaar, Basketball Court Area. Non Bel-Air residents with car, take Jupiter Street gate. Non Bel-Air residents coming from Power Plant Mall can take the Service Gate of Bel-Air 3 facing the mall.
Kiki
Jackie Tan’s collections are proudly identified by her nickname, inspired by Julia Robert’s character in the film “America’s Sweethearts.” The fresh-faced Cebuana designer explains that each hand-made piece is a reflection of her personality: simple but edgy. Jackie makes earrings and bracelets but the real winners are her neckpieces, made of bronze or gold chains, and multi-shaped links. Indeed, the necklaces are minimalist in feel but the bold designs are eye-catching. Budget conscious babes will also love the inexpensive prices. Earrings go for P150 a pair, the wired bracelets are only P300 apiece, while the necklaces range from P400-500 only.

Ginger Ignacio
Ginger Ignacio is no stranger to the accessories biz. She used to sell her wares in her own small store in Glorietta called Blush, popular not just among fashion magazine editors, but with the young and fashionable set. However, marriage and a subsequent move to LA with her husband forced her to close down her store. Still, Ginger continued exploring her jewelry designing, eventually venturing out into fine jewelry.
The pieces are mostly big, chunky jewelry made out of semi-precious stones, pearls and diamonds, all of which are handmade by Ginger herself. Some of the rings are carved directly out of uncut stones, and then lined with gold or silver. The pieces are pricey but the quality of the materials and handiwork are definitely top-notch, and are consigned in stores all over LA. In fact, one ring even made it to the December 2006 cover of Oprah magazine. Talk about world class!
Ginger Ignacio fine jewelry is available in Firma, Greenbelt 3.

I already have 3 custom made bangles from BBB and I’m loving each personalized design. These are perfect pieces to show off my personality. As for the ready-made ones (they are one of a kind or limited design), these artful bangles are great collections and also serves as gorgeous thoughtful gift for a loved one. Personalized or not, these bangles are to die for ;D
