Swimsuit Special (Part II)

FARTATTU is the brainchild of Joette Trinidad. Her swimsuit designs are vintage-inspired with a modern take. I didn’t think I’d ever see high-waisted bikini bottoms other than those in black-and-white movies of yesteryear, but I just might give them a try. If you go for quirky-chic, then Fartattu is for you.

  3. boop Says:

    hotness! =)

  4. sweetie Says:

hey just wondering which freeway shop did you find those navy/white striped cut-out maillot? thanks!

  5. Reesh Says:

yes, that’s true! tomato swimsuits are cute and fashionable and cheap! the branch at the Mall of Asia has most of their latest styles. the other branches mostly have last year’s stocks. P499 for each of their swimsuit is the best deal so far.

  6. ciara Says:

wow. P400 for a swimsuit? u can only get prices like that in department stores. that’s definitely a steal.

  7. Belle Says:

Hi Reesh (or anyone who knows :) ): Are the swimsuits in Tomato available in different sizes? Or just one size?

    Thanks!

  8. mej Says:

i have the navy/white striped cut-out maillot and black bikini with embroidery both from Freeway. they’re hot!=) i also have more pictures of them on my blog=)

  9. sweetie Says:

hey mej, where did you get your freeway maillot? which particular branch? thanks…

  10. hunny Says:

hi Cherry! i’ve been browsing around the site and i’m very impressed with the details you do. i’m just wondering if you can help me find the PERFECT swimwear for me. i’m a chubby girl, with big boobies… swimwears in the market are usually too revealing and i’m conscious about my weight, figure and tummy. also, they are pretty expensive. ive been searching for months already, but i couldn’t find any. thanks so much.

  11. Cherry Pacheco-Uy Says:

    Hi Sweetie!

I went to the GLORIETTA branch of Freeway. :)

  12. Jaycee Porras Says:

hello, can you feature swimsuits for us with bilbils? hehe… hard to find one eh.. pretty please?

  13. Nina Says:

hi cherry! It’s my first time to browse into your site..I just happen to read about it in cosmo..and from what I see I was realy impressed..good job :) For shoppaholics like me your site is indeed a good help. I love your swimsuit special..just to help the other girls out there who are looking for swimsuits, there is a great shop at alabang town center named SPF. They sell swimsuits for women, men and kids. It would be nice if you could feature them. Thanks!

  14. bijou Says:

How lovely are those Fartattu bikinis (especially #7)? Definitely not your typical run-off-the-mill swimwear. The high-waisted bikini bottom is cool but it might baffle the uninitiated to ‘retro’ swimwear. Well spotted :)

  15. Tiara Says:

Are swimsuits from Tomato padded? :)

  16. alta redor Says:

I agree with bijou, Fartattu is really worth every penny, the quality (it’s in Rustan’s guys…enough said), the styles…and not to mention, stocks are limited, so it’s unlikely for you to bump into anyone wearing the same thing! :-)

  17. 4everblue Says:

    Hi Cherry!
Hope you can feature stores/designers who can customize swimwear. I am pear-shaped and for us pear-shaped women, it’s hard to find bikini sizes that fit perfectly (smaller size for the top and a bigger size for our slightly heavier bottom). Usually, only stores in the US and abroad allow customers to buy different sizes for the top and bottom, and the lack of this kind of flexibility in our local stores has always been a frustration. I love the latest designs being sold locally, but finding the perfect-fitting swimwear for my body-tyoe is a challenge!

  18. Cherry Pacheco-Uy Says:

    Hi 4everblue!

Fartattu can customize swimsuits. Check out the end of the feature for contact info.

You may also try SM Teens dept- they have swimsuits sold by the piece, and can be mixed and matched (solid top vs. striped bottom, or small top with medium bottom). GOod luck!

  19. alex Says:

Try Yvonne’s swimwear. I went to SM Makati and bought Yvonne’s swimwear separately. I got an XL top and medium bottom.

[…] Shopcrazy The best of shopping in the Philippines! You’ll see there some vitage inspired with modern touch swimsuits. If you’re a quirky chic, there’s one for you too! There are a few affordable ones too! Some can afford Tiger Lilly, Souk, Chocolate, Victorias Secret, Speedo and the likes but I know there are still a lot out there who can’t afford those type of brands (count me in) we have some local manufacturers too! We have Bench, Freeway, Folded and Hung and other stuffs! Stuffs there more economical and pocket friendly! […]

  21. banana Says:

can someone list down the branches tomato has aside from the one in MOA?
    thanks!

  22. sandra Says:

what is more advisable to wear for big hips? Its hard to find w/c one suits to me

  23. cebuana Says:

    hi sandra,

in my opinion i think the best style for that body type is either the traditional one piece bathing suit or the 2 piece, with the bottom that looks like a skort/mini sarong.. but if overall ur slim or just pear shaped the usual bikini will look ok.

  24. red Says:

high waisted bikini bottom is good in hiding stretchmarks and saggy tummy. hehe =) me iba pa bang colors? kaso bat naman yung model name eh checkered grandma, para namang kakahiya na tuloy suotin. i’m having second thoughts. =(

  25. katrina Says:

hi! could anyone help me on where to find cute beach dresses? i’ve scoured greenhills and glorietta, pero sawi ako… summer’s almost over pero i still want one… hehe.. thanks so much! =)
