I’m loving the Zara tops!
May 23rd, 2007 at 1:54 pm
is kimono tops fine with pear shape and round shape body type? m on the chubby type kasi, just given birth 3 months ago. Kasi parang naisip ko lang na parang mas lalo akong tataba sa kimono tops na which is uso ngaun…….
what yah think?
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:57 pm
sis, she said that it flatters all body types. i guess, we just have to take her word/judgement. though i think you have to be more choosy in the prints of the kimono tops you would buy. i think if you are a chubby type, avoid large prints, like flowers and the like. i think it would be nicer to wear plain kimono tops to give u more slender silhouette.

hello maida! thanks for your advice, i appreciate it.
May 23rd, 2007 at 4:11 pm
kimono tops suit full-bodied women more. i’m skinny and kimono tops makes me look even skinnier.
May 23rd, 2007 at 4:54 pm
Hi miggz! I agree with Maida. You have to try it on first, then use your own judgement. The fabric and print has a lot to do with the way it looks on your body.
Hi Anonymous — I guess it depends what you’re trying to achieve. I thought even skinny women (like nicole richie, lindsay lohan) want to look skinnier!

I love the #2 Zara Kimono Top
Lots of Kimono Tops are also sold at Goldcrest…
May 23rd, 2007 at 7:00 pm
I love the People Are People print. It looks like something you’d find at Anthropologie, at a fraction of the price!
Lara, are the kimono tops sold in Goldcrest made of good material (i.e. not thin Bangkok type of cotton)?
May 23rd, 2007 at 8:05 pm
where is Goldcrest?

May 24th, 2007 at 2:32 pm
totally love these.
the ones in MINT store are way cheaper… less than 1000… there are around 600s, 700s, and very nice fabric! such show the curves for a sexier look!
May 24th, 2007 at 3:13 pm
Will kimono tops also work for petite girls like myself?
May 24th, 2007 at 4:20 pm
Nice Tops I really love the prints very nice and retro. Hope you can display more of this and of course more cheaper.
May 24th, 2007 at 8:12 pm
i think kimono tops work on petite ones if they fall just below the knees
May 24th, 2007 at 8:20 pm
is it good to wear kimono tops for weddings?
May 25th, 2007 at 10:27 am
The Zara tops and no. 9 are my faves. However, I’m bothered by the low necklines of Kimono tops, I don’t want to show cleavage… haha… nevermind, it’s just me. =)
May 25th, 2007 at 12:55 pm
if showing off your cleavage makes you uncomfortable, try putting a tube blouse underneath. I do it when i need to project a bit conservative look. hehe..
May 25th, 2007 at 2:20 pm
I’m preggy and I dont like wearing maternity blouses. Will the kimono work for me? I could just tie it above my tummy right? hehehe just wondering.
May 25th, 2007 at 3:50 pm
May: i envy you!!! i think kimono tops are PERFECT as preggy cloths. some maternity top designs are so “old” style–this makes you a cool, preggy mom! i wish i was preggy again
May 25th, 2007 at 6:48 pm

May 28th, 2007 at 5:04 pm
if i wear one over jeans, do they have to be skinny or can the pair be bootleg? and do u wear them with flats? hee! thanks!
May 28th, 2007 at 10:02 pm
hey abbey!i already wore one with bootlegs and they make a great pair! and with flats too! but im on the petite side so the kimono top should be above the knee to make my legs look longer even with my flats!Love them!

Forever 21 has a lot of nice Kimono tops too. I bought mine way back in January of this year from their store in Las Vegas….but the Philippine stores might have them too.
But the best shop where I usually get mine is from Zara.

I have a question about People are people. I’m going to the Philippines later and I’m going to stay in Bacolod. Can I find People are people in SM mall in Bacolod City?
