WedgesAdd a spring to your step with ultra-chic wedges. Invented by the late great cobbler Salvatore Ferragamo more than 70 years ago, this modern marvel instantly adds to your height and your style quotient. Worn under denim’s latest incarnation: the wide-leg pant, it makes you instantly taller without looking like you cheated. Pair these hefty shoes with feminine summer frocks or super short shorts to balance the look. They’re comfortable enough to be worn all day, so you can take them to the mall and won’t have to worry about any shoe-related pain distracting you from your shopping. If you’re heading to the beach or to a picnic, their flat bottoms will keep you from sinking in the sand or soil. Polished and practical, they’re our favorite summer shoe.
