Stylishly Sleek
by KV Villareal, Web and Mobile Producer
Women aren’t really known to be hardcore techies. I myself confess that I like certain gadgets solely for aesthetic reasons. Case in point: When I was going through my I-want-a-PowerBook stage, I wanted to get a silver iPod mini (even though I knew that I’d have to sacrifice bringing around with me most of my tunes) just because they’re color-coordinated. Sad, but true. And that’s just one of them. But that’s another story.
With the vast array of mobile phones out in the market, all competing for people to take notice, one thing remains. Just like in fashion, when you’ve got something that’s truly stylish, you needn’t scream for attention.
The Nokia 6300 seamlessly combines style and function. Its sophisticated stainless-steel exterior and its beautifully simple yet powerful interior spell form and function in one sleek package. I’ve been eyeing this phone for quite a while since most say that it’s really a woman’s phone and that it’s packed with features yet won’t befuddle you with all that high-tech stuff. So when I finally got my hands on one, I spent an entire weekend playing with it.
Unlike other phones that take a lot of getting used to, you only need a few minutes to get acquainted with this beauty, with its enhanced Series 40 user interface. This actually makes it perfect for us career-oriented women who want our phones packed with features but takes the least amount of time to figure out. It has a 2-megapixel camera, a music player, an FM stereo, a video player, and an expandable memory of up to 2GB. Technical mumbo-jumbo aside, just think that as long as you have your phone, you’ll never get bored. And with a 106.4 x 43.6 x 11.7 mm exterior (it’s just a little bit bigger than the iPod nano), it’ll fit perfectly inside that cute little clutch that you just can’t let go of.

All these fashionable qualities were showcased in a five-day fashion show, as silver-outfitted models sashayed their way around Metro Manila, going to the different bars, restaurants, coffee shops, stores, shops, and streets of Alabang, Makati, Ortigas, and Quezon City.

I have mine for about 2 months already..I can say that it’s the best phone that i have ever used so far, the keypads are very nice to the touch, the screen colors pleasant, and the camera takes great pictures too! I would definitely recommend this phone to everyone!

i’m not too fond of the phone. it’s simple, and easy to use (as phones should be), but the price tag is way too expensive for the features it provides. i was shopping around for a new phone a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t believe the price of N 6300 is the same (sometimes more expensive) than the SE 800i. and a few thousand bucks off from the SE P990i (i ended up buying this phone for myself). for phone simplicity, i’d definitely go with the N 6300. but if you want to get more bang for your buck, get the SE 880i instead. nokia overcharges way too much, when honestly, sony ericcson beats their ass when it comes to phone quality.

6300 is so affordable!! You’d think mahal siya, yun pala hindi. Value for money talaga. I love my 6300! I finally got rid of my razor kase medyo outdated na siya, just so I can get this phone. Ang nipis and stylish niya, i just love it!!
