In Tagaytay, just past the roundabout, lies a sophisticated, romantic getaway designed particularly for couples. I took an escape recently and was pleasantly surprised.
Upon check-in, guests are brought to a small room to personally pick their soaps and shampoos from a number of scents; I went with lavender. Oils are provided as room aromas and the DVD collection may be accessed there as well.
The rooms have all been named after aspects of a relationship such as “I lust”, “I love”, and “I surrender” (as shown in the picture above). There are 7 rooms in all, each one with a unique interior, designed to create a romantic atmosphere. With a view of Taal lake from most rooms, it’s hard to go wrong. I requested for an even more romantic feel and upon entering, we were greeted with rose petals and candles throughout the room—beautiful.
We stayed in the “I love” room on the ground floor. Although small, the room is very cozy and comes with an indoor patio complete with a mini hammock. The bed is covered in pillows and at its foot lies a large flat screen inviting you to curl up in bed with a hot chocolate, movies, and your special someone.
There’s a Hawaiian BBQ restaurant at the hotel, which has a wide array of choices to suit all palates. We had the Fisherman’s Catch and Baby Back Ribs, the latter being a house specialty.

In true B&B (bed and breakfast) style, breakfast is served in bed on a large table that extends across both of you. A number of choices from Western to Filipino menus are available for selection the night before.
The Boutique B&B is a wonderful place for a romantic getaway that’s within driving range from the city. They have a few other tricks up their sleeve, but I’ll let you discover them for yourself.
Prices: Weekdays: P 5,000-P7,000++ Weekends: P 6,000-P9,000++
Be sure to book at least two weeks in advance. A deposit of P2500 is required to confirm. For inquiries, call (046) 413-1885.

This sounds wonderful!
Tagaytay is just the nearest getaway if you want to unwind

my bf and i went there this april just to try the bed and breakfast thing…we picked the “I Desire” room…its a bit pricey but very sulit!!! food is great especially the breakfast that is served to you in your room…another thing i like best in this place is you get to choose your shampoo, soap and scent. its better if you choose a room upstairs if you want some privacy, unlike the rooms downstairs which are both near the dining area for the public. next time we’ll try “I Dare” or “I Dream” room. if you guys just want to relax and have a weekend getaway…this place is is for you!!!

Stayed in the “I Lust” room for 2 days - the suite that has a bathtub inside the bedroom. Thought the room would be bigger, considering it’s a suite. The wifi didn’t work at all during the 2 days we were there. The shower only had cold water (a bad idea, when you’re in chilly Tagaytay). The breakfast was nothing great. The only things I liked about the experience were the big LCD TV which allowed us to play our Wii games with glee, the big bathtub, the creme brulee foam bath and the rosemary oatmeal herbal soap. I think it’s expensive for what it is. Don’t think I’ll be going back.

Stayed at “I Lust” overnight for P11,000+. Only free is breakfast. The room looked big on the web but is really very small. Nothing great for the price. Food is also nothing special (we were served caldereta with all big bones and no meat almost P300 worth, we were not charged for it after we complained). Yup, not going back.

i loved the hawaiian bbq. so much cheaper than polukai…
July 26th, 2007 at 11:29 pm
Inclusions were breakfast and hot coco, dvds, choose your own bath accessories. Dinner ranged between 150-400 per main with an average of P250 which is reasonable as the servings were quite large. On week days rooms are quite a bit cheaper.
chefme: other places in manila to check out, Sonya’s Garden or Antonio’s for lunch in tagaytay. Palawan is always beautiful, but can be pricy. I would check the PAL-akbay deals for local packages. Also the roof top resto at i think its Bellevue in Alabang is quite cosy. Ohhh and Chef Laudicos in Ordaneta village makati is a nice resto, though a bit pricy.

my boyfriend brought me to the boutique bnb for our anniversary. tried their ‘i desire’ room, it’s really nice. i like the idea of choosing your own toiletries, lcd tv, hot choco and churros, etc..etc..=) would love to go back and try other rooms. really enjoyed my stay there. =)

Tried the much talked-about Hawaiian BBQ restaurant in Tagaytay after hearing so much raving news about it.Make sure to reserve a seat before you go unless you want to wait in line with your hungry tummies looking at waiters pass by with these mouth-watering tender ribs! Now we’re hooked! It has become our staple choice for important occasions and family gatherings (can’t say no to kids, right?). A must try in Tagaytay.
Stayed at the Boutique, I Dream room. Apart from a breath-taking view of the Taal Lake from my balcony, the very personalized service is a winner. The breakfast “in bed” was a hearty one. I tried the bulalong corned beef and it was really a unique treat. I also loved the part where you will have to choose your toiletries personally. The Boutique experience was really worth it. It was a unique and yummy treat.

Boyf and i went to The Boutique for our anniversary, “I Lust” room. I thought it would be big because it was the only suite in the place but it was really small. Breakfast is ok. There were some bugs. not the small ones, but the weird-looking and slightly larger bugs. it was icky! Didnt get to use the tub since the water coming from the faucet is not even warm. Too expensive for 15k (twas on a weekend). Baby back ribs at the Resto is quite good though.

Last month, my husband & I celebrated our 3rd year wedding anniversary at the Boutique’s I Lust room (presidential suite). My husband was surprised & delighted with all the special room set-up the hotel prepared. It was a very romantic experience. The next day it was nice to wake up to a rejuvenating cold stone facial massage, compliments of the hotel.

do they do reservations online? kase sa website wala doon then we tried looking sa internet and nakahanap kami sa travelsmart kaso may dagdag naman na charges kapag nagcreditcard ka. kung cash naman either you have to go to their office or go to the bank specified to pay then fax them the deposit slip. hassle for us kase we are out of the country. manghahassle pa kami ng ibang tao if we really want to stay there. kalongkot tuloy
