Hidden in the lush, tropical settings of Laguna lies a restaurant that prides itself on authentic good old Filipino home cooking, served in an artistic homey surrounding. Kusina Salud is the gastronomic offering from the über-talented Tesoro family.
Originally a holiday home, the family converted it to accommodate friends and those looking for something different. Head chef Paul Poblador cooks up a feast for the senses. Highlights not to be missed include a rather unique and healthy fern salad, calamares with a wonderful garlic mayo sauce, and pan fried bangus belly stuffed with eggplant and tomato salad with a soy and calamansi butter sauce. Some friends of mine are big fans of their version of chicharon bulaklak which features tofu amongst other flavors. On Sundays, a lunch buffet is served for under P400++ per head, featuring some of the most popular dishes and dessert.

(1) Banana Bread and Butter Pudding, (2) My plate from the Sunday buffet, (3) Tomato Salad
