Movie Review: Disturbia

People predicted he’d be big. He didn’t disappoint. Shia LaBeouf is HUGE these days. In fact, he’s already being called the next-gen Tom Hanks (sorry, Colin Hanks). As far as compliments go, that’s not too shabby at all. Do I sound like a fan? I am. But even if I wasn’t, I’m sure you’d all agree that the kid’s got talent. I mean, if you can hold your own against gigantic mech robots, you must be really good.
Well, fellow fans, he’s back in this month’s Disturbia, which is supposedly a loose remake of Hitchcock’s Rear Window (great movie, you have to see it). I guess you can call it the teen thriller version of the original. Let’s end the comparisons there. After all, Rear Window is a classic. It starred James Stewart and Grace Kelly. And Hitchcock is Hitchcock. Nothing can compare.
