Japan Home Center: Everything at P88!

Don’t look for price tags in this store because most items are sold at P88. Most, because a few others are only P55!
You will probably find even cheaper products in Divisoria or 168, but because the products here are made in Japan, we can be assured of better quality, I hope?
What I like most from this store is the plastic ware for home, kitchen, office, etc., because they all come in white. Somehow when I see bins, baskets, strainers, food containers in white, they look more expensive compared to their colorful cousins.
Aside from plastic ware, the store carries virtually everything under the sun: craft materials, toys, ping pong paddles, school supplies, beauty and personal care items, baby items, hardware, auto supplies, stoneware, and even Japanese noodles and snacks!

Plastic ramen and rice bowls, P88 each

Stoneware, P88 each

Candles, glow-in-the-dark balls, safety pins, stickers, P55 each

Umbrellas, P88 each

Tools and hardware, P88 each

Arts and crafts, P55 to P88 each
BRANCHES: Greenhills Shopping Center, 3/L Robinsons Galleria, Trinoma, Festival Mall, Alabang Town Center, G/F EDSA Central Shaw Boulevard, Market! Market!, Robinsons Place Ermita, Park Square Makati, Walter Mart Pasong Tamo.

Unfortunately, most, if not all, of the items at Japan Home are made in China. Just like the items sold at 100-yen shops in Japan.

i’m glad you featured this store. the containers for organizing everything in your house are really great but what’s funny is that there are items here that are truly unique like the water dumbells (plastic dumbell, put in water for desired weight) and the mini ironing boards (i guess if you like to iron while traveling).
September 12th, 2007 at 11:26 am
is this similar to the one in market2?
September 12th, 2007 at 11:56 am
They also have a branch in Trinoma. Really neat stuff here…
September 12th, 2007 at 1:05 pm
nice deal in here! I got plastic envelope where you can organize your bills or docs. When i saw this on a bookstore, it costs P100+.
Other branches are : GF near KFC, Festival Mall, Alabang, Park Square in Makati.
September 12th, 2007 at 3:45 pm
how’s the quality of the items? i’ll drop by edsa central branch.
September 12th, 2007 at 6:42 pm
hi becca. i believe so. The branches are listed at the end of the article.

I totally agree with rad basa…my japanese husband told me not to trust everything in this store coz they’re not actually made in Japan. Stuffs from this store is made in China, that’s why i stopped buying foodstuffs and just enter to check out the hello kitty stuffs they’re selling. I used to buy a lot from this shop
September 12th, 2007 at 7:30 pm
hi karls! Why did you stop buying if they’re made in China? Just wondering. If the they’re nice, and the price is right, I say go!
September 12th, 2007 at 7:38 pm
i agree with rad also. these are the same things being sold for half the price (100 yen) in japan. though when i was there, i shopped there for odds and ends - the plastic ware and organizers and all that are pretty neat. But you have to be really discerning when you go here, lest you get carried away thinking everything is a “good deal”

I agree, Belle– it goes without saying that we have to be discerning when it comes to spending money. Just like with sale items– sometimes it’s hard to resist, eh? Buy what you like and need, not just because it’s “cheap”. Actually, I often wondered why we don’t have a 99-cent store. If America has it, then we should have P46-store!
September 12th, 2007 at 9:36 pm
Teacher cherry! make one!!
i’ll be one of your loyal customers
hehe
September 12th, 2007 at 9:53 pm
Hey girls, we may not have a P46-store, but we have a vente stores around. it means they sell stuff for P20.
September 12th, 2007 at 10:55 pm
i love their file organizers…very neat and colorful!
September 13th, 2007 at 9:43 pm
love their chep hello kitty products =)
September 13th, 2007 at 11:32 pm
will never hurt your budget and i find the clothes softener (pink) worthy of its 88php price!!! already brought a lot of things from this store (ATC branch) and so far so good.
September 15th, 2007 at 8:28 pm
Love the household products home japan home.
But please be careful when buying the batteries i used to buy my batteries there but it leaks and only works for a moment
September 25th, 2007 at 10:51 am
if you’re looking for real japan-made items in this store, check the labels. they also carry Daiso stuff anyway and that’s from japan.
i must say though that this really is a great store to find odds and ends (that is, if you don’t want to haul your b*tt all the way to ongpin or divisoria). i visit this store at least once a month. teehee. but sometimes, you can still find a few items cheaper in other stores. so true, be discerning. ;P
Oh and if the product has the uncle bill logo (UBL) then the product goes for 55pesos. not all JHC stores have UBLs though. go to the bigger stores like the one in galleria to find the UBL section.

-great article!

-we’ve been buying stuff there since they opened near our place, especially the fabric softener, works for us
-i’m not really for the japan made stuff but the price and the items, it’s all up to you which items you need, needs and wants are different
-i’m a bargain shopper so i go around town finding places that i can “tag” so anytime i need specific stuff, i know where to go, i have a list of shops and stores that have special items that i can use
-i’m a treasure hunter (LOL)
-i also go to ongpin and divisoria for bulk items

Their can opener is cheap at 88 pesos! I bought it more than 2 years ago and it is still in good condition. I used to buy can openers at 400++ and they only last for almost a year.
October 26th, 2007 at 11:04 pm
ms lady, please share naman your list of stores and shops. this will be very helpful to me. thanks a lot.
November 5th, 2007 at 5:36 pm
Love buying stuff here, they come up with different varieties of products every month. What I like best are the pet products which are very cheap as compared to buying them in a pet store or even the supermarket. Also tried their different chichirias…tsarap, hehe.
celine, the shops I know are located in Galleria, Edsa Central, Rob Place, Rob metroeast, market market, park square 1, waltermart makati, and gulat ako, there was one in cagayan de oro and batangas robs…(dami branches na rin pala no?)
don’t know the other branches, can’t remember yung sabi ng saleslady, sorry.
cheeck out the disney products pala, good deal sobra.
dapat may bayad ako sa pagadvertise ko ah..hehe. happy shopping

where in trinoma is this located?
December 13th, 2007 at 10:34 am
i’m glad you put all the branches where we can find japan home center. they’re usually found in malls. don’t they have a store all their own? i find their items really neat but very few. i enjoy buying from them, they’ve got great products that are creatively made and designed for practical use. hope they put up a store in the metro that isn’t inside a mall for more choices. =)
