American Women’s Bazaar

american-womens-bazaar.jpgI pick the bazaars I go to, and one of my must-go-to bazaars is the American Women’s Bazaar. Yes, it’s quite far from where I live; yes, there is a P100-entrance fee; and yes, it ends by 3pm, but the goods found there make everything worthwhile. The fact that AWB is held once a month throughout the year says they have satisfied customers who keep coming back for more.

What I like the most about the AWB is the wide variety of quality goods found here. The organizers are quite picky about the merchants they let in, so that consumers get the best of the best. A lot of the stalls carry locally-made items for export such as ceramic plates, home decor, apparel, toys, jewelry, accessories, and handbags. And now that it’s officially Christmas season, expect a lot of gift and decor items.

Follow Your Heart

Once we hit the ‘ber months, we can’t help but think of Christmas and what to give our family and loved ones. Here’s a shop I thought would delight shopaholics because their bags are both nice and affordable. They have stalls in Glorietta 4 (near Lucerne), Market! Market!, and Tiendesitas. I especially like the large bags that can double as school bags and travel bags, and can be worn as a shoulder or hand bag.

Red mock-croc body bag, P700. Mock-croc chain straps in black and maroon, P800. Mock-croc mini-travel bag, in sliver/black without chain, P550.

Aside from the mock-croc series, they have fabric ones too, at P450. I was told by the sales person that photos were not allowed so I couldn’t take any more. Oh well. Check them out for yourself!

Stumbled Upon: Accessories Outlet

emmakaur-01.jpgOn my way to the vet in Rockwell, I stumbled upon an open garage that had an attractive display of accessories. Of course I had to go down and check it out.

The house sells locally-made accessories at really low prices. In fact, the home-based company, Emmakaur Fashion Accessories, supplies the Bench/Human chain of stores. Some of the past-season items of these stores are sold at 50% off or even less, while most others are their own creations not found in the malls. Don’t worry, they’re legit, they even have a business permit posted. Great, great finds, especially as Christmas presents!

Fresh from their recent doodling stints at Power Plant Mall and Embassy, the WeeWillDoodle group is again taking their doodling to a whole new level. This time it’s at Fully Booked, where their drawings will be exhibited on Moleskine Pocket Japanese books, those oh-so-lovely accordion-type notebooks.
