girl-dress.jpgSometimes, a girl just needs clothes that are not too funky nor trendy but still fashionable AND wearable at the same time. That’s how I see the first ever collection of Girl & Dress, which debuted this October in TriNoma Mall.

Dresses are still hot, and Girl & Dress carries styles for both office days and weekends. The tops are on the casual side, but there are some fit for work or for dressier events.

According to owner Pam, a lot of her clothes are sourced from all over Asia, while others are locally designed. She made sure prices are pretty friendly, too: “Our tops are priced from P295 to P695, dresses from P395 to P1195, shorts and skirts from P395 to P595, pants from P495 to P595, and jackets/sweaters from P395 to P695.”

Here are some of my top picks:

  4. Girl & Dress Says:

Hi Cherry & the rest of the Shopcrazy team, thanks so much for the fab feature!!

Hey gaze, lesley, and casey, thanks for your comments. Right now we’re only available in Landmark Trinoma, but we plan o open in Landmark Makati in the near future, and we’re also thinking of making selected styles available online, so we can reach more customers :)

these are cute clothes but i’m telling you they can be found in the tiangges for half the price… i just bought 2 empire mini dress at P150 with fabulous prints and a silk tunic dress for P280 only at a bazaar in tektite. These styles are all over the bazaars like greenhills and tiendesitas! :)

  6. Girl & Dress Says:

Hi Misha! We actually have most of our stuff made by local subcontractors who make clothes for some of the top local brands (don’t think I can mention them but these are the ones available in all the top malls with local celeb endorsers). And the ones from abroad, we order from suppliers who again supply to top local brands (we know because we’ve run into their buyers abroad).

Another difference from tiangge finds is that most styles come in sizes S, M, L, and people can try them on :)

We’re all for bargain hunting though, and we love the tiangges just as much as you do! The tiangge is definitely a good place for great bargains.

  7. misha Says:

Yup! Tiangges are really great for bargain hunters. I guess it doesn’t matter who made them whether they are suppliers who supply for top local brands because in the end its up to the buyer to discern the quality whether it was bought from a tiangge or from calvin klein. I actually bought a purple empire mini dress for P150 and I saw exactly the same in TopShop, same material, same color for 3x more expensive. But nevertheless, your merchandise is very feminine and pretty. Maybe you can add more pieces that are more unique and cannot be found in the tiangge. Oh by the way, you can do fitting now in most tiangges, and they have sizes too!

  14. len Says:

yeah, i really wish you have clothes for plus size women. that would be cooooollll

  15. Girl & Dress Says:

Hi ladies! Our sizes come in S, M, L (sorry, no XL), but selected styles come in bigger sizes– such as our 2-pc empire top, bubble-sleeved tunic dress and jumper dress, and the L of these styles would be like a 4 in Bayo.

  16. elle Says:

  19. Girl & Dress Says:

Hi Stella! Yep we do embellishments! The Belle dress above has hand-embroidered details on the hem (it’s not just a print). We also have dresses with lace applique, voile with embroidery, some lightly beaded and embroidered tops, etc. Most of them aren’t featured in this post though, but some designs can be viewed via our website.
