Vegas, Baby!

Went to Vegas recently and Resident Manic Shopper Cherry asked me to take photos of fashionable Vegas ladies. However, I wasn’t courageous enough to approach anyone, so I just took pictures of shops!
Because Vegas does not get very cold (about 5ºC in December), the fashions are not as extreme there. It was fall already and the temperature was around 9ºC-15ºC, and I could totally see myself wearing those clothes here in Manila.
If you’re ready to splurge, then head over to Wynn Hotel’s Esplanade. Being the most expensive hotel on the strip, Esplanade carries only the most glamorous brands. Even if one cannot afford the stuff here, I would say walking around the Esplanade is just sheer bliss for those into clothes and shoes. I’ll just look for similar items here in Manila!
Aside from top designers such as Dior, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton, Wynn Esplanade houses an Oscar de la Renta Boutique. If I’m not mistaken, there are only four existing Oscar de la Renta boutiques in the world.

Here’s a close up of the gown. I did not even dare go in the store and ask how much it was. I did want to take pictures inside the shop, but for fear of looking too much like a tourist, I decided to move on to the next window.

Another interesting shop along Wynn Esplanade is called Outfit.

This multi-label boutique houses ready-to-wear items from designers such as Alexandre McQueen, Tufi Duek (Trivia: He designed for Melissa shoes), Narciso Rodriguez, Nina Ricci, and Proenza Schouler.
Love the next two outfits. Work wear, anyone?

This top reminded me of Cherry’s trend alert about skulls!

For those who want to spoil their men, check out Brioni. I think its James Bond’s favorite brand.

There’s also a Manolo Blahnik shop but I wasn’t able to take pictures anymore. Another shoe boutique called Shoe In houses the creations of Christian Louboutin and Guiseppe Zanotti.
I actually just window-shopped at Wynn Esplanade because I can’t afford any of the items there! For those like me, just head to Fashion Show Mall which is just across Wynn Hotel. (Or head to Las Vegas Premium Outlets for huge savings. Sadly, I wasn’t able to go there this trip.)
Fashion Show Mall houses Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Dillard’s and about 200 more shops! One day is surely not enough for this mall.

For the fashion-savvy, any trip to the U.S. will be not complete without a visit to Neiman Marcus.

The display below was actually just set up by the staff when I passed by. Love the combination of fuchsia with black.

Black and bold prints seem to be one of the trends in Vegas. Here are pictures from Neiman Marcus and Marciano. I also love the focus on hosiery—from colored opaque tights, textured ones, to sheer black ones, and even thigh-highs paired with a mini-dress!

Here are more pictures from BEBE and Marciano. (I wonder when will these brands get to Manila?) And just like Neiman Marcus, these brands are into shades of pink with black as well.

My sister works at Wynn! And yep, it’s the classiest and most expensive hotel/resort in Vegas nowadays. That’s the reason why the developer/owner, Steve Wynn gave his name to it.
