indigo-01.jpgWhen you’re a first-time mom (like me…well, soon to be), you tend to get overly paranoid and overly excited altogether. Your baby becomes top priority, and so you’d understandably want nothing less than the best for your little angel. At the same time, you also have to keep yourself in check because you sometimes can’t help but want to buy all those lovely little baby things!

However, when you finally have your own bundle of joy, you also understand more about what babies and other mommies would need. And that’s how Monica and Denise, pioneers of INDIGObaby, got started with their business.

Having been friends since their college years, Monica Eleazar and Denise Gonzales feel that getting pregnant at around the same time (their adorable babies, Santi and Benny, are only a month apart!) was such a blessing and brought them even closer to each other, inspiring them to start INDIGObaby. After giving birth, both yummy mummies decided to stay at home and never ever leave their dear little ones, without even the help of a yaya at that! Both Monica and Denise practice attachment parenting and are advocates of breastfeeding, so their products are really representative of them.

Nappy Clutch
Designed for parents on the go, INDIGObaby’s pilot product helps parents, uh, enjoy changing their babies diapers…in style! It folds in half and will fit into any handbag or worn on your wrist. It has a clear plastic compartment where you can keep your baby wipes (and prevent them from drying up), a diaper pouch for 2-3 large disposable diapers, and a large changing mat.

The Nappy Clutch, P750, is available in camouflage, assorted zebra, floral, stripes, and orange hippie.

Reversible Nursing Bib
Who says you can’t breastfeed in style? With the revolutionized Reversible Nursing Bib, moms-on-the-go can now nurse their infants discreetly, concealing both mother and child without having to search for a corner to breastfeed in peace.

It’s made of lightweight and breathable material, ensuring comfort for both mother and child. INDIGObaby’s Reversible Nursing Bib is available in hip prints so you won’t have to worry about it clashing with your outfit. Yes, these yummy mummies had fashion in mind when they designed this!

Bath and Body Products
INDIGObaby’s bath and body line is all-natural, safe for your baby’s sensitive skin.

indigo-06b.jpgJar of Hope First Aid Gel, P300, their best-seller, is made from blue chamomile essential oil, the most healing of all chamomiles due to its azulene content. Great for mommy and daddy burnouts, stress, insomnia, fussy babies, insect bites, motion sickness, puffy eyes, rashes, cuts, and wounds.

Shoo Fly Don’t Bother Me Insect Repellent, P150, is lavender-based and will definitely keep those bugs away!

Sleep Like a Baby Massage Oil, P200, is perfect for those daily massage rituals. It has the smoothest jojoba oil with a mix of lavender essential oil, ensuring a peaceful slumber to cap off that wonderful massage.

A Dance of Life Massage Oil, P220, is perfect for beating mommy burnouts. Nightly rubs from the hubby with this blend of lavender and peppermint essential oils will leave you all sweet and tingly.

Divine Intervention Room and Linen Spray, P200, is a combination of lavender, geranium, and juniper essentials oils, perfect for that lulling environment that will help calm your mind and spirit.

indigo-07b.jpgSlumber Spell Bath Salt, P250, will calm your fussy little angel, with sprinkles of lavender bath salts, readying him (and you!) for a good night’s sleep.

Milky Baby Bars, P100, are made of goat’s milk, a natural skin moisturizer and rejuvenator, restoring your and your baby’s skin.

Baby Sunshine Soap, P100, which is made from the purest calendula flowers and extracts, makes bathing time a fun time for baby! It can also be used for soothing skin irritations.

Of course, like any other budding entrepreneur, they want to go international! “We’ve had people interested to sell our products for us in Singapore and in the U.S. Our dream is to be at home with our family, that’s why we started the business in the first place,” says Monica.

“We would also like to get our products available locally in stores and baby outlets. We love the idea of working with our kids around, since they are the reason why INDIGObaby is now a reality. We will continue to expand our product line to cater to more and more modern parents like us,” Denise adds.

For more of INDIGObaby, yummy mummies Monica and Denise, and their equally yummy and adorable babies Santi and Benny, log on to http://indigomanila.multiply.com. For inquiries, you can email them at indigo.manila@gmail.com.

INDIGObaby will be at Rockwell’s Urban Bazaar on November 16-18, at the Rockwell Tent. You can also catch them at the Almost Christmas Bazaar on December 8-9, at the Cuenca Court, Ayala Alabang Village.

makes me wanna be preggy again, LOL!

you seem to have very good products.

i really like your pilot product. saw it in UH and was really fascinted. im glad someone did it here in Phils na.

before, i really had a hard time looking for a fashionable diaper bag. and have to end up with these baby designs, which doesn’t harmonize with my attire. sometimes, opt to choose designer bags that are big. downside is, no compartment for baby bottles and everything just rumbles inside. i know you will soon release fashionable baby bags, that also won’t be dyahe for our hubby’s to carry. you know, the nappy clutch can’t have it all when we’re on the go.

more power to you mommys and have a well baby!
