With the announcement of Clarins’ Best Beauty Advice Makeover, the ShopCrazy team was flooded with beauty wisdom from all you ShopCrazy girls. Over a hundred e-mails poured in and every one of them filled with good advice! But we decided to hand over the prize to Marian, 22, a nurse. She not only gave us her unique ways to keep oily skin in check and get rid of blackheads, but also shared with us her special recipes for them!
Marian and her sister love using pore strips to get rid of their blackheads. Unfortunately, Marian’s skin happens to be sensitive and dry, so at some point, she had to stop using commercial pore strips. For oily skin, Marian also has one simple solution: milk of magnesia. And it works like a charm, too! Marian and her sister swear by these simple tricks, which they’ve been using for a year now. “But for basics, I still follow the ‘take off your make up before going to bed’ rule, followed by moisturizer and lotion,” she says.
Marian is also willing to share these secrets with everyone, so here they are! But, as with any other beauty regimen, remember to use these with caution or do a patch test first.
