There’s a new hotel that opened in Tagaytay. Compared to the usual cottages or inns in Tagaytay, Hotel Kimberly is a huge building. But because it is located away from the main road, and it is built within a spacious lot, it is far from being an eye sore. It is a full-service hotel complete with a pool, a fish pond, a dining area, function rooms, and open grounds for outdoor parties—all for surprisingly very reasonable rates. The hotel is perfect for couples or families looking for a weekend or Holiday getaway. “Honey” and I stayed overnight just before New Year’s, and we would definitely go back.
The rooms’ interiors are zen-inspired.

The room rates are inclusive of breakfast for the number of people you book. So if quad share adults then 4 breakfasts included. Would recommend the longganisa breakfast - it’s good!

oooh-kay. i called hotel kimberly’s number (the one posted on its website) and inquired about the 10% discount coupon on this website. the person who answered (i forgot to get her name) said she doesn’t know anything about any coupon in any website. she said i could get 10% off if i reserve online (is this true?) and told me to go to directwithhotels.com. then she changed her mind and asked me to reserve via kimberlyhotel.com instead. i was in front of a computer so i instantly knew it wasn’t the correct address. she excused herself and came back to say hotelkimberly.com. then said i could reserve now and pay in march. i asked how much the exchange rate is since the website lists room rates in US$ and she said P39 until march and that i can only pay in the tagaytay hotel. is this all true?!

hi! i tried to check the website and there’s no mention of any packages that they offer, say for weddings. do they have some packages or do they just rent out the place as venue for reception?

Sorry for the delay in reply and misunderstanding. All staff now know about the coupon…and we thank you for pointing out the deficiencies in our coordination! Prices are based on the price list here not the P39 conversion. So long as you book before Feb 28 you should be entitled to 10% discount or room upgrade. If you have any further questions let us know. We’ll check this website regularly.

Hi Ogt. Rates are posted per room, with additional charges per extra head. Kids under 12 are free. There is pasta, sandwiches and other Asian foods served in the cafe.

Sorry regarding RATES, they are per room but it depends on the number of people. For example, 3 people for standard is P3700+.

This is great!!! We’re celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary on march 19 and we’re planning to have an overnight stay at your hotel.We just live in sta rosa and we frequent tagaytay, a great alternative to baguio.
How much would a family of five spend for an overnight stay? Our kids ages are 17,14,13.

Thanks for featuring this hotel. We stayed there for a couple of days after Valentine’s. The hotel is lovely and modern, and boasts of very courteous staff. It’s an excellent option for anyone wanting a weekend getaway at a very reasonable price. It was also much cooler there than I expected it to be, considering it doesn’t overlook Taal Lake. It’s safe to say that this will be our first option when staying over in Tagaytay. I hope that, in the future, it will offer amenities such as wi-fi access and massages in the rooms. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay.

We booked 3 rooms last 18-20 March with the free upgrade discount coupon above.
THE GOOD
Check-in was a breeze. Staff were professional yet still personal. Staff noticed we had an infant and asked if we needed a crib! Crib was new and very clean , it came with a pillow, covers and blanket. Rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. The kids enjoyed the pool and the playground. There was a dvd player and you can rent some dvd’s at the lobby for P30. Some of the front desk staff were helpful and knowledgeable and about the surrounding areas
THE NOT SO GOOD
My parent’s rooms had several nails on the floor that were not hammered in fully. Staff did attend to the problem promptly
My son stepped in a thumbtack near the kiddie pool.(staff did attend to us promptly after we asked for iodine).My brother in law stepped on a nail protruding from one of the rock bricks near the kiddie pool! They immediately asked several staff members to comb through the pool area once we left.
When we checked in the room we asked room service to clear the minibar as we needed the ref for our infant/kids milk.We also told them to make sure that this is noted to facilitate for a speedy check out. It took them 45-50 minutes to process the check-out as they could not account for the minibar. Considering we were checking out early, the only ones checking out and the hotel had only a handful of guests at that time. 45-50 mins minutes was just not acceptable. We had to change and adjust our plans because of their delay (which isn’t easy traveling with a bigger group with kids)
Generally it was a nice place. Would recommend it to others…I think they just need a little bit more time/practice to improve their internal coordination. Would still consider them next time.

Please take a look at the wordings of the coupon. 10% discount on superior and deluxe rooms booked on or before 28 feb 2008 OR get a free upgrade fro standard room, valid until 31 march 2008. As my interpretation, the booking on or before 28 february applies only to the 10% and not to the free upgrade. Please comment on this dear reader. Those who are good in english. Thanks! ! !

The Hotel Kimberly you saw in Manila is the main hotel. It is a 3-star hotel but with a 5-star hotel service.
