Cebu Pacific (CEB), the country’s leading domestic airline, celebrates New Year with its trademark P1 seat sale for all domestic destinations.
The promotional sale will run from January 3 to 6, 2008 or until the 80,000 allocated seats are sold out and will be good for travel from January 22 to March 31, 2008.
Candice Iyog, CEB vice president for marketing and product, said, “We want to start the New Year by offering our trademark P1 seat sale.”
Iyog encourages booking through the CEB website, www.cebupacificair.com, or its ticket offices and accredited travel agents.
“With the expected arrival of our first ATR 72 aircraft next month and the succeeding deliveries totaling 10 additional aircraft this year, we are looking forward to offering more seats at the lowest fares possible.” Iyog added.
The P1 fare is for immediate payment upon booking and is exclusive of applicable surcharges and government taxes. The promotional fare is non-refundable.
Now in its 12th year, CEB has the youngest fleet of aircraft in the Philippines. CEB flies to 12 international and 21 domestic destinations, including Caticlan.

my friends availed of the Cebu Pacific promo and we booked flights to Bangkok. It’s our first time to go there and we would like to know where the best place to stay (read: cheap but good accommodations), where to shop for good buys, where to eat, and of course, some sightseeing. we will be there for 4 days and 3 nights.
hope to get some inputs from everyone. thanks.

I stayed at Indra Regent. Cheap yet stylish and spacious rooms. Don’t even think of booking a room in any of Baiyoke hotels. They are cheap, but they look AND feel cheap. Unless you don’t mind being surrounded by tons of “viajera” type hotel guests with truckloads of merchandise they got at a wholesale price.
Shopping, well don’t be surprised if you find a lot of malls that look like Tutuban or 168. But there are also upscale malls like the different “Central” malls. A must visit is Chatuchak (open only on weekends). It’s a much bigger and much better version of Divisoria with tons of interesting stuff (ie. art work, furniture, one of kind shirts, etc). Another thing you may want to try are their tailors and dressmakers. They do your fitting (even in your hotel room) and do what you want to be made in less than 3 days. I heard they use the same fabric as the Italian and French fashion houses in Europe. They say the best ones are the Indians.
Food - definitely check out Food Loft at Central Chidlom. It’s a posh and upscale “foodcourt” but with SM foodcourt prices. By the way, you can board the LRT/MRT to Chatuchak from this mall.
Sightseeing - if you can squeeze in a 1 day tour of Ayuthaya, it is very well worth it. Of course Wat Pho and the Grand Palace are must sees too.
Gimmik - stay away from Patpong. Prostitutes abound and I did not feel safe at all in this part of the city. Go for Bed Supper Club at Sukhumvit for clubbing - there are also good restos in this area - think upscale Malate.
Need I mention the “Tiger” show?
Enjoy BKK!
