I had to disagree when I was told the “sweets season” had gone when all the holiday festivities ended as quickly as they came. Soon enough, Valentine’s is coming round corner, which only means one thing: sweets galore! Whether you’re spending the day with your special someone, or celebrating it with your friends, the occasion surely merits a treat.
If you’re looking for unique treats to share this time, then I suggest you try Karen’s Kitchen, a wonderful bakery that I will always remember for their lovely twists on classic desserts. Owned by Karen Young, Karen’s Kitchen is known for their innovative takes on cakes and pastries, and their elegantly presented products which make lovely gifts for any occasion. Proof on how unique Karen’s cakes are: KV and I had a hard time choosing which ones to feature because they were all so different from the usual desserts anywhere! At the shoot, we couldn’t help oooh-ing and aaah-ing at the mere sight of the pastries. It was truly a treat when we were finally allowed to taste them, and sure enough, they were all as delicious as they looked.
