We here at ShopCrazy don’t condone buying pets—dogs, cats, rabbits, you name it—just because they look cute and cuddly. Impulsive buying is often unavoidable, but don’t do it to animals! Taking care of pets is a commitment—you’ve got to think about it carefully and take your pet’s needs into consideration.
But if you feel you are ready to look after your own pet, don’t get one from some pet mill. It’s best to purchase dogs or cats from a responsible breeder, just like Risingstars 888 Cattery, an International Cat Association (TICA) and Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA) registered cattery.

Risingstars 888 Cattery is located at Sucat, Parañaque and breeds Ragdolls, Birmans, Persians, and Himalayans. Their Ragdolls and Birmans are imported and are show winners in the US, Canada, Australia, and the Philippines, while their Persians and Himalayans are Philippine champions and show winners. In fact, their cattery never leaves cat shows empty-handed!

The cattery’s celeb clientele includes Drew Arellano, Iya Villania (she bought Drew a ragdoll kitten as a gift), and Jaymee Joaquin.

Better yet, adopt an askal or puskal to give a stray animal a home, food, and much-needed love!

agree! stray animals given a lot of love and care will grow into cute pets. Why buy when there a lot out there waiting to be rescued

I agree too. Adopt pets at the local shelter. Try PAWS

true, stray animals need homes! but i guess it’s easier said than done, judging from the number of pet owners who prefer non-stray types (i should know, i say the same thing about adopting animals because i feel for them, but own a bred one).
i guess adopting isn’t for everyone. what i dont like are irresponsible breeders who breed animals heartlessly like a factory.

animals are not toys, they come with responsibilities and they also give lots of love back to the owners.
i’m appalled everytime i hear about people gifting a person a pet when its clear they don’t have the capability of taking on such a huge responsibility of ensuring its wellbeing.
i hope the philippines would do something about the stray animals, provide funding to shelters, build more shelters and educate people.
also provide affordable neuter/spay.
i hope people will open their hearts and homes to stray animals.

yes i agree with gingersnap re people opening their hearts and homes to stray animals.
I gift my friends and relatives with pets NOT because I an not capable of taking care of them but simply because I know they will cherish and love these pets as I love my own.

Well personaly i prefer pure breed:)With a pure breed cat, you’re more likely of to have an idea of what you’re getting into beforehand.Like you’ll have a preview on what typical triats about the breed…like their temperament, size, grooming needs and most of all the health concerns…whereas with the “pusakals” or random breed cats you’re never really sure… Not that every pure breed is 100% predictable, but atleast you have some ideas that you can go by.
Healthwise with pure breed cats you will be able to find out the medical history of the parents of the kitten.Like any genetic problem. But with pusakal you most probably will have difficulty tracing if there are any genetic problems.im not to any extent against to “pusakals” but just an idea.
We all know that both pure breed and random breed cats can give plenty of pleasure and TLC.
You’ll be spending around 10 to 15 years with that pet,why not get the best…So i choose a good breeder that does not make a kitten mill out of their cats. And i have choosen a pure breed Himalayan cat and its so sweet and laidback temperament like what the breed discription is:)
Hoping this would help you guys on choosing a cat:)
Thank you so much risingstarscattery.com:)
