I’ll let you in on a little secret: More than clothes and makeup, I’m such a big sucker for skincare products. I don’t go to a dermatologist, so by choice, I invest on skincare stuff.
So, predictably, The Face Shop’s Pore Minimizer line really piqued my interest. I just had to try it.
The products boast of natural ingredients like mushroom extract (a natural astringent that averts large pores), acacia collagen (improves skin’s elasticity and tightens pores), adlay (purges sebum and other skin impurities), and Hyaluronate and Biossacharide Gum (which lock in moisture).
Sounds like a formidable combination, but do they actually work?
The Face Shop Pore Minimizer Controlling Toner with Powder: P695
After washing your face, use the Controlling Toner to absorb excess oil and remove deep-seated dirt. This will allow your skin to absorb the rest of the Pore Minimizer products for optimum results.
The Face Shop Pore Minimizer Controlling Essence: P795
The next step is applying the Controlling Essence, which immediately tightens the pores without dryng the skin once fully absorbed. I like it because it’s definitely non-sticky; its consistency turns like liquid once it touches your skin. Plus, it smells good!

the toner didnt work for me. il try the cover up next time, hopefully, that one will work.
but i must commend the design of their bottle, very expensive looking

when i used the cream along with the toner, the combination seemed effective, in combating oil that is. parang it’s the cover-up that makes my pores seem like they’re smaller

maybe they’re more effective if you use the entire line

im using the product since january and so far it is effective,pores are smaller and my face is not too oily. try the brand’s entire line to see a good result.it does to me. ;D

i’ve been using the controlling essence and cover-up for about 6 months now and i’m very pleased with the result. My friend even commented how my face looks tighter and healthier.

I’ve always had problems with my large pores on my nose area… so after reading this, i went out and tried the cover up.. it really works! I think it’s my new best friend
i’ll try the other products soon.. i’m still not sure whether or not to leave Olay since i’ve been using it for 3 years now and i don’t have any complains about it…

I have been using the cover-up for about a year now, usually before I put my make up on. I love how it instantly makes my skin feel smooth and how easily my make up glides on over it. It works and it’s not heavy on the pocket too. Definitely a good buy!

I swear by Idealist by Estee. Among us sisters, only I had the misfortune of having oily skin. But my college friend recommended it so gave it a try. My skin is less shiny and the pores are way tighter. Bit expensive, but worth every peso.
