A salon haven in the midst of a bustling mall

Apart from having our hair done, my friend and I also tried their mani-pedi services, foot scrub, and eyebrow threading. The manicurist had very light yet agile hands, and she was able to do our manicure and pedicure in no time. She also freely dished out nail care tips, such as not cutting or removing your cuticle too much so as not to thicken and harden it; as well as avoiding foot scrubs done using metal files, as they can thicken and harden the skin on your feet, too. I loved the impeccable finish I got from my manicure (P120/P150) and pedicure (P150/P180), and my feet really did feel so smooth and relaxed after the foot scrub (P300). Even with just those three services, I already felt revived.

Another colleague who visited Acqua Salon at a different time had the same pleasurable mani-pedi experience. “They’re very good! My nails were nicely done, and the manicurist was very gentle but really good. I love how the salon’s staff is so welcoming and courteous, too,” says Shar.
The junior stylist who administered the eyebrow threading (P120) had very light hands too. He thoroughly removed all the unwanted hair from my ill-maintained eyebrows (I failed to pluck them for a month!), and I never winced from pain. He was saying that I had such high tolerance for pain, since the threading procedure is usually painful, but I told him there really wasn’t any pain to tolerate to begin with.
My friend and I absolutely loved the shampoo area, which allowed us to lie back and stretch out fully as our hair was being washed and our scalp massaged. Its unique ambiance made us relax, as if we were in a spa and not a beauty salon. “I love how the salon looks very neat and modern, and the staff is so accommodating,” Ara enthuses.

There are also two other things that I absolutely loved about this bright, spacious, and relaxing salon: one, they play really relaxing, soothing music, contrary to the other bustling salons that play loud, happy music that does not really contribute to what I’m after when I go to these salons, which is just that, to relax and be pampered; and two, their salon is located away from the main traffic of the mall. It’s close to the mall’s Mindanao parking entrance, so you’ll easily see it and get to it straight from the parking, yet it’s situated in such a way that you are protected from onlookers who happened to be passing outside the salon just when your hair is pulled back in a cap during hot oil treatment or, worse, slicked with whitish or brownish treatment. It’s accessible yet very private at the same time.

How much for the dry hair and scalp treatments?
July 23rd, 2008 at 8:54 pm
i just hope the staff esp. the one in the counter will not be a snob or judgmental like most salons in the Metro. After all, one goes to a salon to look good, so judge me after the cut/salon treatment not before!!!STUPID SALON Staff..why? well, i went to F Salon Riverbanks marikina, and some stupid biatch took so long to appear on the counter and after a while appeared without even a greting, then denied my request to have my hair cut and relaxed! i was just very polite but at the back of my mind, i am saying, i could buy your salon if i want to! biatch..i am pretty sure it was some discrimanation and not just because they don’t want to..
most salons do that here i could go on and on..e ano ba pinag-aralan ng mga nasa salon..e mga manggugupit lang naman sila! enough..

You may also try to have your hair cut by Mr. Narry. He is one of the best hair stylist in the metro. I just discovered Acqua Salon because of him. Actually I met him in CMH salon. So when he transferred in Acqua, I followed him there : )

I L-O-V-E Acqua! Avesta is also my hairstylist and I just have praises for her work. Coloring (and I believe make-up too) is her specialty. Staff is highly-personable and are super accommodating.

How much their coloring services? For short hair, long hair, all-over color, highlights, etc.? Meron ba silang website?
July 28th, 2008 at 4:56 pm
Meron palang part 3 nandun yung mga price ng mga services, bakit kasi ‘di nalang ‘to ginawang isang page andami tuloy clicks.
I have a question. Anong brand gamit nilang pang kulay? Preferred ko L’Oréal Majirel sana meron nito sa Acqua. Saka sino dito pinakaexpert sa hair coloring?
July 28th, 2008 at 7:52 pm
My friends and I love Acqua too. We went there last Saturday. Tina scored luscious curls, grabe ang ganda. Binibiro ko nga na seductive tingnan. Haha. I got this cute bob. Ung perm ni Tina ginawa ni Joel. He is so good. Miss Marnelli cut my hair. By the way, their assistants are really friendly at accommodating din.

Girls!!!
MJ from Acqua Alabang is already back in
TriNoma every Thursday 10am-6pm. (She started in mid-July). She is the most-requested Sr stylist in Alabang.
September 23rd, 2008 at 2:46 pm
MJ used to be from Franck Provost (a pioneer in fact that’s why she was
trained by Franck Provost himself) and is a pioneer stylist of Acqua Alabang
since we opened in January 2005. She has clients from all the way in QC and
Makati who up to now have followed her all the way to the south.

I just went to Acqua Salon today. My stylist was Ms. Terry and I love my hair. She’s good and accomodating.. All the staff were nice.. They gave me a glass of Iced tea while waiting.. I also had eyebrow threading by JR. It was painful but tolerable. It was my first time though. I’ll definitely come back to that salon.
