Goodbye, high-chair. Hello, chair booster!

Don’t you find high-chairs for your kids quite bulky to keep around at home—particularly when assembled by the dinner table? And aren’t your kids already reaching that stage when they are shunning everything that’s “for kids only” and wanting to do what their parents do—for instance, something as simple as sitting on a regular seat when dining?
Moms and kids will then certainly love the Kaboost Portable Chair Booster recently made available in the Philippines. Kaboost is a compact and portable chair booster that raises the height of kitchen and dining room chairs so a child can sit at the table just like a grown up. With Kaboost, the entire dining experience is both convenient and enhanced for both child and family.
Find out how it works after the jump.
This novel product was developed to meet the needs of parents who struggle with toddlers that refuse to sit in traditional booster seats or high-chairs. This usually happens when a child reaches the age of 2 or 3, when a child starts wanting to be just like his parents and older siblings.
Kaboost’s patent pending design easily adjusts to fit most four-legged chairs (round or square legs), allowing a child to reach the table just like everyone else and sit on a seat just like everyone else’s around the dinner table. The empowering feeling of Kaboost gives kids the ability to develop a sense of independence and gain self-confidence, as they begin to feel more that they really belong in the family.
This portable seat booster is made from heavy-duty plastic and uses an adjustable spring system that snaps on to chairs in mere seconds. The spring-loaded arms firmly grip chair legs into place so Kaboost stays attached even when the chair is moved or repositioned. You have two choices for the chair booster’s height—equivalent to the same heights of standard high-chairs—allowing a child to grow with it. Its non-slip rubberized feet will not scratch your well-maintained floors, too.
As lightweight and compact as it is, Kaboost is extremely sturdy, with the ability to hold up to 300lbs, and is engineered to improve chair stability. KABOOST has been tested and approved by independent testing laboratories. It’s recommended for use of children between 20 months to 6 years old. Kaboost even comes in four colors that would easily blend in with your home décor: green, chocolate, natural, and charcoal.
Kaboost is available in Rustan’s, Hobbes & Landes, and Kidz Station at SRP 2,700 each. Visit the Kaboost Philippines website or watch Kaboost at work by clicking here for a demo video.

I am a make up artist based in Davao City. I saw this product while I was in the US and thought of using it to boost chairs when i have projects.
As a makeup artist, one of the biggest problems is to be using a chair that is too low. I would either have to bend down or make the client sit on cushions or a stack of telephone directories just get them at better height. With Kaboost, I don’t have to do that and can even bring it around with me from one project or shoot to another.

I just recently bought a Charcoal Kaboost for my 2 year old son and he loved it! All of a sudden he would eat on his own. Even his yaya was surprised!
This is a wonderful gift for moms and children alike, especially this coming Christmas season. I really think this is more useful than giving toys and candies to my inaanaks. =)
