Good food for a night-out with the boys

by Chrissy D. Icamina, Editorial Manager, Summit Digital

Recently, I tagged along with my friends from the FHM team as they went out for dinner at Silver City, which is behind the SM Supercenter Pasig (somewhere in the middle of C-5 and Julia Vargas Avenue). The boys were in the mood for grilled or good ol’ Pinoy dishes, so having a Gerry’s Grill there promised to satisfy their craving.

We chose to dine al fresco to get a better feel of the area (never mind that it was raining). And though the attendants were initially either not-so bibo or a bit timid—or perhaps tired from working the whole day—the branch manager George more than made up for the staff’s lack of vivacity in waiting on us. He was very gracious and accommodating—even when he still wasn’t aware that it was the FHM team he was attending to.

Sportswear classics in Nike’s 2008 collection

by Savvy Shopper

With sports fever spawned by the recently concluded Beijing Olympics, it seems everyone is getting into sports—even incorporating it into their wardrobes.

Nike Sportswear took advantage of this moment in sports history to launch its 2008 collection, which is characterized by eight of its most iconic designs: Air Max 90, Air Force One, AW 77, Dunk, Sportswear Tee, Cortez, Eugene Track Jacket, and Windrunner. With almost four decades of sports history as its foundation, the brand now takes its classic designs and improves them through new technologies to fit the needs of current lifestyles.

Yes, most, if not all, of these Nike products are already familiar to you. But what Nike does is to remaster their best and their classics, making them more fitted for today’s sportswear apparel requirements.
