Now that we’re in the topic of fab fashion for the rainy season, we certainly can’t go without a pair of plastic Melissa shoes—perhaps one of the most stylish, must-have accessory for the season!

Since its launch in the Philippine market in July last year, it seems to have become a buzzword among footwear fanatics all over the metro. A global fashion icon for its cutting-edge design and technology, each shoe molds to the shape of your feet, making each pair a perfect fit. It launches 400 new products annually, and this September, Manila will finally slip its feet into their 2008 Fall-Winter collection.

Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Mary Jane + Melissa will be available in beige and black for the Philippine market this September, exclusively at MixeDenim. For its Winter ‘08 Collection, Vivienne Westwood has recreated the classic Mary Jane model. Originally made out of leather and launched in the 2000 “Summertime” Collection by the designer, it now comes in Melissa’s patented plastic.

    nope, your feet won’t smell. in fact, the shoes smell like jelly. the more you use it, the more it will smell like super candilicious. go to a melissa stand and grab a shoe and smell it. trust me, you’ll love it. =D

    Hi Aina! I was told that it won’t make your feet smell, since Melissa’s patented material, MELFLEX, happens to be hypoallergenic, too. Apart from that, all Melissa shoes also have a yummy smell. :)
