Looking for funky new footwear to strut around the city in?
You might want to try a pair from US street wear brand, Zoo York, which opened its first store in the Philippines (located in Robinsons Ermita) just last Friday.
Manhattan-based Zoo York is one of the East Coast’s most established brands in street fashion, inspired by New York City’s unique cultural mash-up, with style cues drawn from hip-hop, graffiti, punk, rock, and everything in between. Originally just a clothing brand for men, Zoo York now offers a wide range of accessories, casual utilitarian clothing, and funky footwear for both men and women. In its 14-year history, the brand has already developed a cult following not just in the US but in other parts of the world—and perhaps in the Philippines soon.

Not only do they make a strong statement, the footwear designs are also highly durable—meant for those with a highly active lifestyle. Their items are meant to be taken to the streets, as they were designed to withstand NYC’s rugged terrain. Their latest collection features loud graphics inspired by mixed media collage, pop art, and everyday life in the city, among others.

Zoo York products are available at their first store in Robinsons Ermita (Padre Faura Wing, 2nd level), Rustan’s Department Stores, and selected Stoked and Shoe Salon outlets. Watch out for other ZY locations opening soon: TriNoMa Teens Zone, Level 2 and SM Megamall Atrium, Level 4.
