Don’t you miss bringing home-cooked baon? Didn’t you appreciate your baon as much when you were a kid, since your food containers were bulky and you didn’t have microwave ovens in school (or didn’t know how to use it yet even if there were)? We bet the only times you would be encouraged to bring your baon are when you have cute lunch boxes like those ubiquitous pink Barbie ones and some cute tote bags in which you could hide the big containers.
Now, lunch boxes are getting more convenient since you pretty much have a choice when it comes to which size you prefer, especially if you want your food compact or prefer taking smaller servings. If you’re into smaller and cuter lunch box designs, why don’t you try the lunch boxes from Daiso Convenience Store, available in various sizes and colors? You can also get them for your kid.
One of the newest lunch boxes they have is the triangular onigiri lunch box, best for packing onigiri (rice balls) wrapped in seaweed. The bottom box is for your viand, while the triangular part holds your rice balls. If you’re not having rice for lunch, the triangular part is also great for storing mini sandwiches. This particular design also comes with a belt to hold the two boxes together.

If you’d rather not make onigiri and just stick to plain rice and a viand, you can also go for the simple two-level design which allows you to store rice and viands separately. This one also has a compartment for spoon and fork, which your kids may find convenient!

For storing sauces, try these tiny containers that are easy to stack.

You can carry these lunch boxes in various tote bags also available in the store, all for P88.
