The smaller the better when it comes to computers
by Sheiden Dela Cruz, Web & Mobile ProducerJust when you thought notebooks can’t get any smaller, somebody decided to come up with this “atomic wonder.â€
Intel Technology Philippines recently launched in the country its smallest processor to date: the Intel Atom (formerly code-named Diamondville).
Built with the world’s smallest transistors, the Intel Atom processor fits perfectly in today’s netbooks and nettops.
Netbooks benefit children, first time Internet users, and people who desire an extra PC for using basic computer applications, listening to music, e-mailing and surfing the Internet. They are rugged and compact in design and offer the freedom and flexibility of wireless connectivity.
Want one? Filipinos can now enjoy Intel Atom-based netbooks and nettops with enhanced capabilities and features. Netbooks with Intel Atom Processors are currently available in Acer, Asus, Dell, Gigabyte, Lenovo, MSI, and Neo, while nettops are available in Intel’s channel partners and Asus. There are now more than 60 netbook and nettop designs available worldwide.
