We all know that makeup has an expiration date, and that at some point, we really do have to throw them out. But maybe not this time.

Once you see the cases of the recently launched line of Paul & Joe makeup, you would certainly want to keep them for a long time (maybe even after you’ve used up the pretty contents). The makeup brand’s 2008 Autumn Collection includes limited edition lipstick and face colour powder that comes in elaborate casing with delicate floral patterns that are so pretty to look at and fun to use.

The new Paul & Joe Lipstick (Php1,200) claims to provide clear, beautiful color to your lips and comes in a creamy texture. It contains their new “Secret D’Or” formulation, which combines select varieties of champagne gold frost, each of which are said to possess a different overtone and sparkle that varies subtly depending on the angle you view it from. The harmony of these frosts supposedly delivers a sheer, highly translucent sparkle. The product is also said to contain conditioning properties of floral ingredients, such as orange flower water, white lily extract, and jojoba oil—all of which are said to infuse lips with rich moisture.

(L-R: Muse, Motif, Inspiree)

The top of the lipstick is engraved with a chrysanthemum pattern that makes it more fun to bring around in your kikay kit. The lip color is inspired by distinct autumn tones and comes in three shades: Muse (058), a chic brown hue; Motif (059), a retro beige; and Inspiree (060), a natural pink that looks feminine and sexy.

Paul & Joe’s new Face Colour Powder (Php1,150) also contains their new “Secret D’Or,” and supposedly gives the same translucent, sparkling effect on the face. It also claims to contain more luxurious quantities of frost than ordinary eye shadow, which give it a soft, velvety texture. The beams of light in the frost add nuance and is said to complement any skin type. Apart from containing the same active ingredients the lip color has, the face colour powder also has moisturizing hyaluronic acid and emollient oil-soluble rosemary extract.

The top of the face colour powder is also engraved with the chrysanthemum pattern, symbolic of Paul & Joe. The product comes in three shades:

Pressed Petals (058), a classic purple and beige frost that provide depth

Atelier (059), a combination of dark brown and turquoise blue that can give eyes a clear, sexy look

Lullaby (060), combines pinkish brown and whitish pink to create a sweet, gentle look

Paul & Joe’s 2008 Autumn Collection is now available in Rustan’s Makati.

I love Paul & Joe!!!! My personal favorites are the Protective Powder Foundation and Lash Mascara. Their skincare’s also cheaper than the average high end brand, but they definitely work! My mom uses their Eye Treatment Cream and it worked wonders on her undereyes.
