Owning a handbag has never been this sweet.

Bag-o-philes may finally meet their match in Tsoknat bags. Owned by Toni Rose Favoreal, the brand boasts of handcrafted, offbeat, and fashionable bag creations—which are made from 100% recycled textiles and fabrics. Customers need not worry about toting the same bag as everyone else’s.

Funky statement pieces, Toni’s bags are fast gaining popularity, with its website even being voted by Wiki Pilipinas (Philippine version of Wikipedia), as the “Number One Online Fashion Shop.”

So far, there are seven Tsoknat collections, the current one being the Sugar Drop series. Since most of the items are one-of-a-kind, her bags tend to get sold out in a matter of days! Check out the bags still up for grabs this September after the jump.

Jerisa, P645, over-sized bag in bluish gray tweed-like fabric with lining, inside pocket and zipper enclosure.

Marta, P665, over-sized bag in vintage fabric with lining, inside pocket and zipper enclosure.

Olivia, P695, over-sized bag in old rose velvet fabric with various embellishments.

Teri, P635, over-sized bag in golden brown tweed-like vintage fabric with purple bow.

I’m not feeling these bags. Looks like a grade school sewing project.

  2. aileen Says:

i totally love the bag… a certain design is made to match a certain personality.. i own one of her design & its really a head-turner…

  3. koala Says:

no offense but they probably turn their heads because the bag is hideous. probably someone w/ a split personality can “carry” the bag well. i’ll never pay P600+ for a disaster bag even it’s for free. i’d rather carry all my stuff in my bare hands or use a grocery plastic.

Very expensive for second hand clothes made into bags.

I bought a bag from tsoknat before for around 400-500php. Didn’t realize that the bag was made out of jeans (The pic was really nice)! The jeans was probably worn before. I just gave it away.

  5. armene Says:

i agree, its not bag-o-licious at all.

Agree! it’s a headturner. What goes thru people’s minds:
    1) oh my gosh, what a hideous bag
    2) oh that’s one way of saving… turn your rags into something useful but don’t pretend it’s something fashionable
**won’t even try to gift it to my maids

  8. tec Says:

right! it looks like a rag!

  9. trix Says:

These bags are totally a headturner.
    They are worth every cent.

shopcrazy does it again, trying to make the ugly and utterly unfashionable look good for the sake of posting something. agree! doesn’t look bag-o-licious to me too! these aren’t even vintage! they’re just made of old clothes!

^I’m not judging them. I actually know thay’re not great. The picture in tsoknat’s site was so pretty and I was really surprised that the main material was old jeans! With the pockets, and crotch part and everything. I mean, who wants to use that?? an it’s so stiff!
