Christmas is indeed just around the corner, but there’s one more exciting event to enjoy before we go full-blast on the yuletide cheer: Halloween, of course!

One of the many malls offering Halloween treats for everyone, particularly for the kids, is Araneta Center. Choose from a wide array of Halloween events offered by the lifestyle center this year. Fun activities such as Face Painting and Balloon Twisting are in store for kids all weekends of October in Gateway and Ali Mall. There will also be living statues, stilt walkers, and roving monsters to amuse shoppers. Those who want to see their future outlined in the stars can enjoy fortune-telling sessions at Farmers Plaza also happening every weekend of October.

Everyone is also invited to join the Pumpkin Carving and Design Competition on Saturday, October 25, at Gateway Mall and Ali Mall beginning 1PM. Then dress up in your scariest, most wickedly wonderful costume, and win exciting prizes at the Halloween Show and Trick or Treat in the same malls on Sunday, October 26, at 4PM!

There’s actually a great shopping place within the Araneta complex apart from Gateway Mall. It has some really amazing finds and even a quaint Italian restaurant you have probably heard about and should definitely try.

Have you heard of Cubao Expo? It is the former The Marikina Shoe Expo, nestled between the Araneta bus terminal and Puregold, and located behind Ali Mall & the old Rustan’s Superstore, which now houses Automatic Supercenter and ACS Call Center.

 

Among its tenants are I Love You store, Grand Thrift Shop, Little Divisoria, The Reading Room (with lots of fashion finds and even a soul card reading room where you can have your fortune told by its proprietor, Sandy Allan), Breathing Space, White Box Gallery, Sputnik Fantastik Comicbook Shop, and Bellinis Italian restaurant, which we mentioned at the beginning of this post.
