Turn an addiction into a worthy cause

by Trixie Reyna, Managing Editor

…By this we mean addiction to coffee or tea.

Everyone seems to be dependent on coffee or tea these days to function, mostly out of habit or craving for the taste. So many of us have at least one cup of our favorite drink each day, sometimes not even caring if a cup costs us over a hundred bucks. Given the amount of money we’re willing to shell out for coffee or tea, wouldn’t it be great if we could actually help a worthy cause in the process?

You can do so with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s “Give in to Giving” promo, wherein every card you complete helps an advocacy of your choice and gets you a Limited Edition Artists Notebook.

Read on to know more about the promo and advocacies you can support simply by drinking your favorite drink.

A quaint shopping village in the heart of Cubao

by Trixie Reyna, Managing Editor

There’s actually a great shopping place within the Araneta complex apart from Gateway Mall. It has some really amazing finds and even a quaint Italian restaurant you have probably heard about and should definitely try.

Have you heard of Cubao Expo? It is the former The Marikina Shoe Expo, nestled between the Araneta bus terminal and Puregold, and located behind Ali Mall & the old Rustan’s Superstore, which now houses Automatic Supercenter and ACS Call Center.

Among its tenants are I Love You store, Grand Thrift Shop, Little Divisoria, The Reading Room (with lots of fashion finds and even a soul card reading room where you can have your fortune told by its proprietor, Sandy Allan), Breathing Space, White Box Gallery, Sputnik Fantastik Comicbook Shop, and Bellinis Italian restaurant, which we mentioned at the beginning of this post.

Learn more about this quaint shopping place hidden in the heart of Cubao in Quezon City as well as their exciting shopping events after the jump.
