Gift idea: furniture for kids
by Sharline Bareng, Staff Writer
Instead of giving toys that only add clutter to your home this Christmas, why not get kids something that would actually be useful around the house, such as their own furniture?
While you may still opt for the usual cribs, beds, or chairs, note that kids can quickly outgrow. However, there are actually lots of kiddie furniture options in the market. So when buying furniture for children, it’s important to consider the longevity of these pieces; pick those that could even become family heirlooms.
Levels of Discovery keeps this in mind when creating furniture for children. While kids always expect toys as gifts, they are nevertheless pleased when they are given something new, useful, unique, and made just for them. “There is nothing [more] wonderful [than] to see the look of sheer delight on a child’s face when they’ve discovered something new and unexpected,” says Jeff Hutsell, founder of Levels of Discovery.
