It’s not lip service: lip balm against violence
by Trixie Reyna, Managing EditorAs we begin a new year, we make personal resolutions that will hopefully make our lives and characters better; what’s yours?
A good start would be to become more involved in good causes, such those fighting violence against women and children. The Body Shop makes this even deed even sweeter for you with their ‘For Me, For You’ Shea Lip Care Duo. At P395, you and a friend each enjoy this moisturizing balm, since each pack contains two tubes; at the same time, you get to contribute to the Women’s Crisis Center*, which benefits from proceeds of this product.

It’s great that the beauty and even fashion industries are getting more involved in great causes that affect women in particular. They also make it easy for the rest of the female population to contribute in our own little way, as we get to help our sisters who are victims of violence with every purchase of this product.
I got some of my friends this balm for Christmas, and they were very happy with it. It gives moisturized, soft lips in the process, thanks to shea butter. It also contains skin-caring Vitamins A, C, and E. They were also able to share all these benefits with another soul sister.
If this isn’t motivation enough, we don’t know what is. Be part of The Body Shop’s campaign to educate women in providing practical help and support on such a sensitive subject for those who need them most.
*Women’s Crisis Center is a non-stock, non-profit private institution in the Philippines which fights violence against women and cares for women survivors of battering, rape, incest, sexual harassment, prostitution, and sex trafficking.
