Those seeking to give back to the community have another fashionable option to do so: By getting a pair of these sparkling beaded flip-flops, you’re actually helping improve lives of impoverished families.

That is what led a group of senior Management majors from Ateneo de Manila University to begin Beautiful Soles Inc., a social business enterprise that created Bejeweled slippers to give families in Gawad Kalinga Molave Village a source of livelihood.

Each unique pair was hand-sewn by hard-working mothers from Molave Village, which benefits from a portion of profits from every purchase of these glam embellished flip-flops. Some of Manila’s hottest fashion designers such as Amina Aranaz-Alunan and Rosanna Ocampo have also joined the cause by designing collections for them.

So far, there are three Bejeweled slippers collections. Each pair is named after precious stones and even comes with a versatile mesh bag. See some of the styles after the jump.
