The benefits of a spa in your own home–at less than P200
by Trixie Reyna, Managing Editor
There are two things surfing for the first time can definitely give you: utmost exhilaration while you’re riding the waves and extreme muscle pain all over your body the following day…and for at least a couple more days after that.
So there was one thing I definitely needed at that time: a massage. However, because I had absolutely no time to do that, not to mention that I was on a tight budget given that I still had so many Christmas gifts to buy at that time, I needed a cheaper and less time-consuming alternative. That’s when I decided to try this line of spa products being offered at Watsons.
Aptly called Spa Essentials, the brand has a complete range of good quality wellness oils or aromatherapy products which include massage oils, essential oils, and linen sprays, all below P200. See what products worked wonders for my muscle pain after the jump.
Spa Essentials uses 100% pure essential oils in different variants and forms as the natural alternatives to address your daily wellness needs, such as reduction of stress, tension, and fatigue; help in getting a good night’s sleep (especially for those suffering from insomnia); ease of breathing; and relief from muscle pain.
On the second day I suffered from muscle pains from surfing, that’s when I got myself their Aches and Pains Massage Oil (P169 for 100ml). Right before sleeping, I poured a small amount on my palm and rubbed my hands together to release the aroma of the essential oil, which, to my delight, smelled exactly like the relaxing scent that reminds me of spas. I massaged the oil on my sore arms and legs, and I immediately felt the soothing warmth it brings. The following day, my tired and sore muscles were practically revived, and I just needed another night of applying the oil before all the pain was gone. It was amazing!

Their other massage oil variants are Sleep Easy, Energy, Romance, and Stress Relief, which I got for my “baby†during our office Kris Kringle (I won’t mention what category), and which she told me (not knowing I’m her “mommyâ€) she loved since she was also so stressed at that time.

The Breathe Easy Linen Spray is quite cheap, I might try this on my next trip to Watsons. I buy my linen spray from Zen Zest, thanks for posting this.
