Calling fans of Nike Cortez: the classic got even better

Anyone who collects anything will agree that the heritage of each item makes you treasure it more than anything else. This also applies to shoes.
For the Latin youth in Los Angeles back in the ‘80s, the Nike Cortez helped them connect with American culture because of the shoe’s Latin name. Since many of these teens lack access to a car, they had no choice but to venture across Los Angeles on foot—hence the demand for footwear that was stylish and comfortable at the same time.
