Stylish, flexible shoe for any workout

Getting fit and going sporty is so “in” these days—especially since summer came around. While not everyone is into going to the gym, a lot of women have adapted other forms of working out such as jogging and following dance videos. Whether your workout requires you to stay indoors or go out, wearing the right sports footwear is always important.
Whatever your workout, you need shoes that help strengthen your muscles and maintain your balance. One of the footwear brands you can trust for this is, of course, Nike, which recently launched a new pair of workout shoes for women who don’t follow linear routines: the Nike Air Strong Sister+ (P3,795).
Given that I would rather jog outdoors than spend boring minutes on the treadmill, I recently got myself a pair. I put my Air Strong to the test one Sunday afternoon when family duties prevented me from going to a proper jogging track. I had no choice but to run along the main street—the only part of our village that was flat enough for jogging.
The first thing I loved about Air Strong Sister+ was its weight—or lack of it, to be more precise. Despite being so light, I can feel that it provides great support. Air Strong uses Nike’s signature Flywire technology, or light, strong threads that work like cables on a suspension bridge, right where a foot precisely needs support. Flywire is responsible for Air Strong’s light, breathable upper and forefoot support, which kept my feet cool and comfortable.

Aside from being light, soft, and comfortable, I am grateful that the training shoes were true to its name: even as I inevitably stepped on uneven concrete, my Air Strong Sister+ kept me balanced and running in a regular, comfortable pace.
It helped that Air Strong, just like the rest of the shoes in Nike’s Sister Series, is powered by DiamondFLX Technology, which offers multidirectional support and flexibility and allows the shoe to work with the foot rather than against it. So even if I can’t jog on a proper track, I can count on my Air Strong to make running a breeze.
If you’re the type who likes dancing, doing aerobics, and yes, using the treadmill, Air Strong is a good, flexible shoe to work with, too. It can take you from the treadmill to the dance floor, no change of footwear required!
Nike Air Strong Sister+ is available at Nike Park Glorietta, Greenbelt 3, SM Mall of Asia, The Fort, and North Triangle.

I saw this when I bought my running shoes the other day. If they only have other colors for this. I chose the Nike Air Dejavu, aside from the comfort of the shoes, I like that Black/Pink color combination. =)
