Summer makeup essentials

The heat makes makeup tricky this season, since it practically melts everything and nothing sits well on your face—or worse, it doesn’t even stay on at all. If your makeup staples do not have the right formulation to withstand the heat, you just might end up with a sticky, smearing mess on your face after a few hours under the sun, especially with this intense humidity.
This is why you must stock your kikay kit with the right products as soon as summer comes around. For my summer makeup essentials, I’ve stocked up on products from two makeup brands: Clinique and Kanebo. I love how Clinique’s products are allergy tested, and I could wear them all day without fearing that my extra-sensitive skin will break out or have rashes. Kanebo, meanwhile, is known for makeup that’s easy to apply yet looks like it’s done by an expert, plus it gives you that extra glow—something we all need in this sunny season!
