Are you a fan of the American pop rock band who sang the hit “Shake It”? Ayala Malls brings you a chance to watch popular rock sensation Metro Station perform live this week! Catch Metro Station on June 10, 6PM at Glorietta Activity Center, June 12, 6:30PM at Alabang Town Center Activity Center, and June 11, 7PM at TriNoma Activity Center.

Metro Station creates a collection of sounds and lyrics reflecting the energy of our moment. The band released its self-titled debut studio album in September 2007 with two singles released, “Kelsey” and “Control.” It wasn’t until mid-2008 when the release of the single “Shake It” grabbed immediate attention, peaking at the Top 10 of three US charts.

Internationally recognized for its brave beats reminiscent of 80s electro, the band was initially formed by Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso who met early 2006 when they were introduced by their mothers on the set of Hannah Montana which stars Mason’s brother, Mitchel, and Trace’s sister, Miley. Sharing musical interests, they decided to form a band. Shortly thereafter, Cyrus recruited Blake Healy from Synthetic Joy as keyboardist, synthesist, and bassist, and soon added pumping lo-fi sound, enabling Metro Station to find their niche. Anthony Improgo was later added as the band’s drummer. The group has toured with numerous bands such as Panic! At the Disco, Boys Like Girls, and Good Charlotte. They also opened for other groups such as Simple Plan.
