Jannice Eos Macatangay, 29, knows the ugly impact that stress can have on a girl’s appearance. “Stress can really wear us down sometimes, and make us look as harassed as Charlize Theron’s character in Monster,” shares this administration assistant. To combat the effects of a difficult work week, Jannice devotes certain days to personal pampering, complete with facials, manicures, and massages. “A good kneading of the muscles can release the endorphins and melt away the negative energy,” she says.

But there are days when even the smallest of indulgences are out of the question (we are still in a recession, after all). When she needs to loosen up a little but finds her funds running low, Jannice opts for a cheaper alternative—dancing! “During the days when I don’t have the moolah…I put Jay Sean’s Down on repeat mode and do the pepper-shaker dance!”
